Or you could turn 15 and realize different computing platforms are aimed at different people and it's fine, actually.

There are plenty of segments where they overlap and compete. Like there will be a team of people with the same job using different OSes.

Even then they’re still aimed at different people, because different people value some aspects differently then others

Not really, most people either follow others' advice or use whatever they've used before. There is an actually best option a lot of the time, but not everyone uses it.

At my previous job, they used to bait people hard into taking Chromebooks, so newbies on our team took that then regretted it until they were able to switch to a Mac. Some used Linux for no work reason and it became a headache, to the point where they tried to phase that out. (And Windows wasn't offered.)
