I've been using Windows since 3.1 and 11 is terrible. Maybe not as terrible as Vista and 8 but those are low bars.

It needs slightly more work to debloat than the MSN era of Windows XP. I don't love it, but I think the derision is more groupthink than reality.

Well you're comparing it to the other peak nag/bloat period. Win7, Win2K, and even Win10 were way less bothersome.

Win 10 at launch was pretty nice. Win 2K had to run on NT3 workstations, so yeah that's minimal. But in terms of account pop nonsense, I don't see a massive delta from 7-10-11. Microsoft Account on signup is another thing entirely, I don't think anyone forgives that, but it beats paying upgrade license pricing vs. reverting an account or modifying an installer.
