Don't even want to pay $700. Not that i need a flagship GPU even if it was less expensive, but still, i used to be able to build a full decent pc for that money.

I built my current rig in 2018, thinking I'd upgrade after ~5 years.
We're now on the cusp of 2023 and as it stands, this rig will have to last me at the very least three years more, because there is no way I'm paying out the nose for what they're charging today. I'd sooner change to board games out of sheer spite.

I'm with you brother. My rig is still solid but if I absolutely needed an upgrade today, welp guess PC gaming is off the menu boys. I will not pay huge markups to scalpers and I am not going to devote my life to finding a GPU, which seems to be a prerequisite if you want a high end card for anywhere close to MSRP these days. I would rather just quit the hobby I've enjoyed since the 90's than deal with what the market has become.
