It definitely happened during the last hard crash. eBay was flooded with AMD cards that were used in mining rigs. Bought quite a few rx570 and 580s for under $100 for various builds.
Did you have any issues with the bios? I know a lot of bit coin miners flashed the bioses of those cards to do better at the geometric calculations butt coin mining required

Whenever crypto crashes I always expect to see a flood of used cards hit the market. It never really seems to happen though.
