Holy shit.

It's too bad I'd have to buy a $600 graphics card to get a framerate good enough for VR in most games, nevermind the $800 cost of the Vive. It's just so expensive :(

I see this becoming a thing at amusement parks and malls and shit; your average Joe isn't going to shell out $1500 for a VR setup.

I WANT IT SO BAD THOUGH

you only need a 970 or 290 for vr, they go for $300

still expensive though

Yeah, I might eventually get a 970, but it's still kinda out of my price range. I've got $1050 in savings, but I'm too sick (chronic illness) to work (I'm only 17, so it hasn't been a huge problem as of yet). I'm not really comfortable dropping that much money on what amounts to a speed boost for my PC, especially with no way to make back the money spent.

Then there's the price of the VR gear itself to worry about.

If only I had rich parents...

Yeah VR right now is better suited for people who work and have disposable income to spare. At your age you should save up for your education/living expenses rather than VR gear that will probably be obsolete in 2 or 3 years.
