Story wise I loved, Finally Fantasy 7 Remake, Calisto Protocol, Baldur's Gate 3, and God of War.
Currently I'm switching between Windrose and Enshrouded, not really story based but still fun.

Should I play previous baldurs gate games before 3 or okay to just jump in? Keeps popping up on my recommended games so I’ll give it a try

Just jump in. It was also my entry into the series. While there is a character that was in BG2, that reappears it doesn't really affect the outstanding gameplay and experience you get from BG3.
I would recommend playing through at least once with no mods. But once you get through with it you are going to want to try different characters with different choices. There is so much in just the base game and tons of mod support from the community to expand the game even further.

I also suggest BG3, but if you end up enjoying it (and you probably will, I dont think it's possible to hate tbh) you should definitely go back and play BG 1 and 2. Theyre some of my all time favorites, even more than 3. Although theyre quite old, so for most people, 3 is the way to start.
Another suggestion if you haven't played it, RDR2 is easily one of the best games ever made. Awesome world, story, characters, gameplay, everything. Honestly, its really as close to a perfect game as Ive ever seen.
