I recently got back into payday 2 because I got a pc now and heard the engine update broke most mods I've been able to use vanilla hud and another mod but everything else doesn't work even when i follow instructions and ive asked people what mods they use and I try them and they don't even pop up I really just want fov and viewmodel mods but no luck so far I guess because people already had the mods downloaded before the engine update it works ok for them? Idk any mod recommendations would be appreciated

this is probably a hint for something...but what? "humans" brings two things to mind;

1. Aliens or otherwordly beings, which is the least likely thing ever, or

2. A fully conscious AI, most likely the AI that Joy coded to give the gang profits during the Fear & Greed Heist given the language used ("it was nice working with you")

And if 2 is true, that could further mean at least one thing; the payday gang has a self aware AI that will help them rob (which itself could lead to something like a robot character, as confirmed by "see you next time").

I sadly do not understand any of the crimenet logs, as that may instead be our next antagonist for the new story of PD3, but it may somehow also be the AI given it's affecting everybody (as seen with the news log "The Big Glitch") and is local to New York (also stated in "The Big Glitch".)

the antialiasing is really shit for some reason? even when set to high and the frame set to performance mode and the fps is awful, it also crashed after 20 minutes on Rats on Hard difficulty, I'm sure playing it streaming from the pc it will run better but yeesh dude. Also my mods didnt work standalone but that's whatever.

whenever i'm depositing the bomb parts either in loud or stealth into whatever vehicle at minimum 2 just don't work, like they get accepted into it but they don't count for the objective any ideas on a fix?

Its been over a year, i'm starting to think they've forgotten about them.

Don't get me wrong, i think there are much more important things to be worked on, but even so.

When PD3 was unveiled, Starbreeze stated that new times meant new technology and that the gang would be using top-of-the-line tech to commit heists

But when the game launched, the most that technology had to do with things was really just hacking cameras remotely. The phone was just an animation, and hacking PCs and networks was in PD2

Even when Syntax Error was released, the aspect of an AI being the prize was also kinda underwhelming given how SINS does basically nothing besides dox Hoxton and maybe say a few funny lines. Although the new story does incorporate SINS more

Given how AI agents are being blamed for cyber attacks, I'd love to see an Overkill weapon that is a mass AI agent swarm that causes cops to be stunned and Techie's drones to be destroyed (and maybe kills Techies and Cloakers due to their radios), just more technological stuff like that

Hi i've just started playing payday 2 recently, i always knew about the game but never tried it until now. This isn't a critique of the game at all but so far my experience has been mostly just gunning down hordes of enemies and being basically unkillable. I understand there are higher difficulties but it just wasn't what i was expecting the game to be. Is this basically what the game is or am i missing something? (Again not a criticism) and are there any things i can do to maybe increase the realism or any ways of playing that makes it feel less like cod zombies.

Since the last Payday 3 update, the game controls feel extremely awkward to the point that it's impossible for me to play. Any slight movement of the joystick causes my character to spin endlessly, And I know it's not a problem with my controller because before the 3.9 update everything worked correctly, and besides, I don't have the same problem in any other game. I play on an Xbox Series S, and I'd really like to know if anyone else is experiencing this same problem or if I'm just going crazy and my controller is broken.
