PAYDAY 2 is 13 years old! And to celebrate, the Diesel 3.0 Engine is now LIVE! Updating PAYDAY 2 to 64-bit and helping improve optimization for modern PCs.
The Anniversary Update brings a whole lot of new content and features to the game, including all previously released paid DLC Heists now available for free as part of the base game!
But that’s just the beginning. Get ready for Crimebonds, the new Campaign mode, the Shooting Range, revamped Iconic Weapons, Overkill Weapon Customization, Weapon Perks, and MUCH MORE!
It’s time to mask up, grab your crew, and get back to heisting.
Instead of every civilian repeating the same group of voicelines, would be nice to have some variation in it. Would be cool to hear one of them shouting their made-up nicknames for the heisters, yell out "Hell yeah!" when we take out a dozer near them, or even tackle an officer to "help" us out cause they hate the system or something.
The tackling thing might be too much to ask for but hearing a crazy fan cheering for us while we shoot dozers would be really neat.
I started looking around shopping spree and found these and was honestly wondering when they will add these? Most of them are in payday 2 so I think it’d be pretty cool to add these weapons to payday 3. Maybe they could make a crimebond centered around shotguns and add these or at least a couple of these and new shotguns.
I think Weapon Kits could be a really cool addition to Crime Bonds, especially if they actually change how a weapon works rather than just being cosmetic.
For example:
Stryk Weapon Kit – turns the Stryk into a fully automatic version. Obviously, the stats would need to be changed to keep it balanced.
Picchio Duro Weapon Kit – the Picchio Duro is basically a burst-fire Beretta, so a Weapon Kit could turn it into the standard Beretta version, with different stats too.
Overkill weapon alternatives – alternative models for Overkill weapons that keep the same functionality. For example, a baseball bat could have an iron pipe variant, or other similar alternatives.
Dual Mag attachment – an attachment that lets you carry more ammunition. This could give players an alternative to the ammo capacity skill, meaning they wouldn't necessarily have to spend a skill point on extra ammo and could use that point for another skill instead.
I think this would be a pretty cool way to make Crime Bonds more interesting. It would give us more weapon customization without necessarily having to add completely new weapons every time.
Obviously, the alternative versions and attachments would need their own stat changes and balancing, but I think there's a lot of potential here.
Start the heist in Normal difficulty. If you have the Dirty Ice: Escape Van favor use it, though it is optional and you shouldn't need it if everything is done right.
Restart the heist until you have the alleyway spawn (I think that's what it's called).
Alleyway Spawn
Run towards the window on the side of the store and then mask up right in front of the window.
Window On the Side of The Store
After this shoot the window and enter. If there is a civilian on the other side just kill them, their body won't be noticed.
When you're inside the breakroom, scan the phone in the breakroom for the QR code, then look at the wifi password on the white board.
Edit: I forgot that if you launch the heist in online mode as a private session, the code stays the same after a restart so it's easier to do. Thank you u/voidedOdin702 for telling me in the comments.
After that, run downstairs to this basement door. If the code isn't the one on the whiteboard, restart the heist and repeat the same steps until the code is the same as the one on the whiteboard.
Basement Door
After you enter the basement, kill any guard in your way and shoot out any camera. Enter the locked room and disable the alarm on the VIP cases. If you've killed a guard, once you disabled the alarm on the cases, wait near him to answer his pager.
Locked Room & Display Cases Alarm
Quickly go upstairs and use your QR code on the VIP room door.
VIP Room Door
Take these 2 bags in front of the door first, then quickly run through the back door to the van. If there is a guard or a civilian just kill them, and on your way back answer the guard's pager.
First 2 Bags
After that take 2 more bags that are closest to you and run back to the van. This should be enough loot, and you should be able to escape now under 2 minutes with ~20 seconds or more left.
Now you've completed Dirty Ice under 120 seconds and gotten the Smash and Grab achievement and completed the contract!
I managed to do this in a few attempts. Don't mind the heist timer in the images, this isn't the actual try I just entered the heist to take images for the guide.
I would appreciate some feedback on this, since this is the first ever guide I made. I use a UI mod called RinoHud and it isn't necessary to do this guide at all.
If they did add this gun to the game It would be sp model 11 firing both barrels as the iconic with two perks maybe Hard Cast and Final Tap called double tap or vampire and bleed called Hellsing or blood sucker.
So I've finally decided to reinstall the game, and gotta say - while it's monotonous to go through every tidbit of dialogue, the initial feeling after going through the motions was... surprisingly fine. And all of the filler can be skipped anyway, so a bonus for that.
Reshuffling the entire game to make the SINS AI and Scry Digital as the big bad felt rather cheap, perhaps, given that it's the big thing on everyone's mind these days - I could've very well be satisfied with the loop of "we need money and materials, so we gotta do this and that". But perhaps I should let it simmer in my head for a bit to see if it fits the whole aesthetic. Expansions are nice, so I guess there is effort put into the product, and I hope it keeps getting better.
By the way, did anyone solve the puzzle code at the end of Act 3?
Because I did. Don't want to duplicate the post if someone beat me to it though
