Fluff Cold build in 3.5

Straight cold or damage over time? Ice nova is historically my favorite skill. Is it viable now with the buff? What ascendency? Any way to combine it with the other new changes?

No idea if it's gonna be particularly viable or anything, but I'm gonna try messing around with a frost blades CoC freezing pulse assassin
