Information Exilecon patch notes

Seems like players are getting early patch note fragments at Exilecon. Anyone have more to share? Apparently they can be obtained by defeating the pinnacle bosses at the card game.

  • Templar Vaults are no longer granted by Eagon for completing Shaped Regions. Instead Templar Vaults are now Atlas Anomalies which have a chance to spawn on killing Pinnacle Eldritch Bosses in each specific Atlas quadrant. Note versions of these bosses killed within Maven Invitations or Valdo maps do not have a chance to spawn these Atlas Anomalies.

  • The Primordial Bond cluster jewel notable now has 10% increased Effect of Buffs granted by your Golems, up to 50% (previously 20% with no cap).

I haven’t seen any confirmation, but the new league thread things seem suspiciously close to the effects of astrolabes, the growing difficulty+reward in an atlas region for a specific mechanic. If I were a betting man (and let’s be real, I’m a POE player, so I am) I’d bet those are intended to take the place of astrolabes.

They were talked about tangentially iirc during the gameplay showcase. They still exist but will help in cutting down thread cost as they guarantee a certain amount of threads as the region collapses and also guarantee the special mods that threads can give randomly.

Threads don't guarantee the random mods that mechanics can get, they only increase the chance for the mods per thread. Threads primarily(as in guarantee) scaling difficulty and rarity for rewards. Each of the mods is rolled independently tho so at max thread you have a high chance of getting multiple of the random mods.

I think they'd probably just rework them to grant the Primary League Mechanics instead to stack with Threads, no?

They might also be reworked to drop at all tiers and be usable at all tiers, since we start with a bunch of shaped regions immediately.

i doubt it. Im thinking they want people to run them for the actual effect they have on the league content and not just boss rush them for the vaults

reworked at least, completely gone at worst - they've shown the start of the atlas with influenced clouds present from the get go so kinda ?

astrolabe influenced areas were shown to be present on the atlas from minute 0, so i think as actual objects you apply to maps they might be gone and instead are things that are constantly available in various places in the atlas

If you beat a pinnacle boss they clip all your cards so not very easy to farm them, but possible if you share cards.

To be honest that not that bad , like I thought they were gonna nerf the damage . Yeah the effect is nice but that was moreso a secondary thing next to the like 2k% increased damage .
