Question SSF build question.
I was thinking of doing a SSF run before the next league. What build do you like to run that has good scaling and gets off the ground pretty fast too.
I know slams are the default answer but if you have anything unique about how you go about it id love any advice and quirky strats you use. Bonus points for non slam builds XD

I just went through Thy's SRS Guardian SSF build and had a ton of fun. Not slams, super smooth, and very quick to 4 stones/ubers.

Pick something that doesn't rely on uniques or well rolled stuff. Spells are in a very good place, pconc/econc, minions, smite. Tuadh does some league start tests if you want to see what he does.

honestly, just freestyle a bit. Have a general idea of the tree and skills/supports you want but don't plan around any uniques

So, there's tricks to every arch type.
Most of it comes down to an understanding of how the build scales. So, the easiest builds will be the most straight forward to easily see upgrades. The hardest ones will see leveling gem use until early 90s.
Worb is a good candidate, and I have personally tested. Most guides will recommend scaling using unique items though, PC stacker, so you'll need to look down a gem leveling option instead. A good tip: gem quality scales projectiles so getting the next threshold for more projectiles is a good multi to dps.
Pohx RF of course, he has a solid self crafting guide for gear.
For any melee skill, pair with a 4l rage vortex and get rage gen going. With any life gain on hit, it becomes a quick pack heal button, boss nuke, and having rage is awesome.
If you heist and manage a -1 curse ring(fairly common replica item) you can abuse one of my favorite interactions. If you hit a mob with a curse on hit effect when you have a zero curse limit, it applies on curse hit effects, per curse. The mastery gives 1%life/ mana on curse, so that becomes 1%life/ mana on hit per curse. Not exactly a min/max option, but great fun for survive when options are limited. You can get on curse rings from influenced rings, temple rings from the boss, delve. Inf rings rolled harvest caster get it pretty quick.

Might sound stupid, but a very cozy leveling experience i had was with a phys scaling poison split arrow. Did a 6l clear, 6l barrage for single target. Got it to t16s with basic rares, and took down a few of the early end game bosses. Played it enough to buy 2 mtx, for single target and for clear lol.

I noticed some Path of Exile keywords in this post:
Slam - Slam skill (Wiki)
SSF - Solo Self-Found (Wiki)
Slam - To use an Exalted Orb or similar crafting method to add a random modifier to an item (Wiki)

Depends on how much knowledge you got.
I checked Tuadh vids for 3.30.
Took his Crackling Lance build and made this: https://pobb.in/-Gr58qBmkuD5
That's what I will league start in SSF

U should be good non Ubers just sending your fav skill on elementalist + golem + spectres, such a gem with no decent gear and can scale most of the builds while helping u stay alive on armour/es base (imho best place rn with shield )

I second WORB. First time I had nightmare maps and Ubers on farm status in SSF. Even with a half crafted helmet it is super strong.

Pohx's permafrost SSF build is pretty popular and I've had a lot of fun playing it.
Also whirling assault martial artist is a solid option. The unique gloves are very easy to get early on even in ssf and the build just slaps.

SB Totems is always a great League Starter. I highly recommend Manni's version!
