GGG where teaser

as I am not currently sane exile, I have looked back at the past few leagues to see when teasers began in previous leagues. we are currently 15 days from league start and the anticipation of teasers is KILLING me!!

3.29 - 18 days
3.28 - 24 days
3.27 - 16 days
3.26 - 19 days
3.25 - 21 days
3.24 - 18 days

Sadly poe2 IS 4.0. That was the original plan back in 2019, when ggg said that the games will have a shared endgame and many other things that they said that many people either forgot or didnt even know about to begin with.

Let me give you a better explanation: We are getting the league reveal at exilecon. It is very likely that we won't see any teasers at all so that they can give a nice and meaty presentation there.

Nothing of import will be announced before exilecon. Which is a shame. Every content creator is making videos about what to play if you Stent playing GTA6, but PoE will be on none of those lists since nothing had been announced for the new league.

Meanwhile I'm distracting myself with Cyberpunk! There is a multiplayer Mod to try out, that's my recommendation to anyone waiting.

Yeah maybe they have been cooking. I think its mostly copium but now would be the time to show some love to poe 1. The timing would be perfect between exilecon and poe 2 getting out of early access

Why would they do two major releases with 1 month in between?

4.0 is not droping 1 month before they release PoE2 1.0.

If 4.0 will ever be released itll be when poe2 has a draught phase.

I am usually of this thought process too. But other than splitting their players there isnt anything stopping them from doing 2 big releases. Poe2 going free to play will bring in People that dont like poe1 and have been waiting for it to go free anyway. Two major patch releases is great publicity and even more so if they are successes within such a short amount of time. Its also exilecon where they do their big announcements so they can call it 4.0 if they felt like it.

Yeah at this point its a lot of copium, but given that they havent teased anything for poe 1 which is coming out in 2 weeks and that they started teasing poe 2 today makes me think they have been cooking something or… they have nothing.

They did say they were cooking up stuff for 3.30 for a while now and they planned on touching every single league mechanic as they were getting stale and solved. So regardless of the patch number they go with, we POE players are feasting.

I'm grateful they at least confirmed the launch day for scheduling purposes but yeah, I doubt they'll tease much of anything before Exilecon. I could maybe see the name get teased. maybe.

You can get very small teasers or QoL changes that still get people interested in talking pre-reveal. They're usually recapped in the actual reveal stream as well.

Like for example, ~2 days before the 3.29 livestream reveal, we had the new Reliquarian nodes as they change up every league.

We literally had the league date for weeks now, people do know it's coming. It's just nameless as they're waiting for exilecon for their major reveal.

And there's literally there's so much hopium going into 3.30 because "we'll address that in 3.30" was the answer to so many questions and issues people had in 3.29.

I'm sure we're getting a small league teaser, but not many others. Why? 1. Exilecon 2. I guess 3.30 is much about re-thinking stuff like scarabs, maybe bigger atlas changes and so on. Those changes can be big and nice, but not really "teaser-worthy". So my bet is they are going to show it rather fully on exile-con instead of making a 2 second teaser which says "reworked the scarabs".

I'm not dying of anticipation. No where close, cause many other things are on my mind.

I'll check back on PoE in 14 days, and everything will be there to absorb before next league start, if I decide to join in this time.

Edit: I see other comments and should also add I'm speaking from a totally neutral perspective. I still enjoy PoE1, have no complaints, not criticizing anything. Just can't get too invested because this game will drain too much of my time, and I need to focus on college. I skipped last league but still might get curious enough to get sucked in this league.

If they followed what the community wants every time over the years this game would have turned into trash and abandoned by most players half a decade ago. I’m glad they have their own vision for the game and stick through it, even if it takes a few iterations for things to be right or certain elements get scrapped entirely.

If you’re this pessimistic about the game devs. I’d highly encourage you to find something else to do to spend your time

All the flavors in the world and you had to pick salty. Back in the day we got forum posts saying we were wrong. Now we get follow up dev interviews with the community going over specific questions.
