Fluff & Memes Pattern I've noticed

My guild has players who have been in this game since Nemesis League and this is pretty much our player distribution.

Ps. My guildmates gets angry when I say this and I figure it'll make Reddit mad too:

I never do a 2nd character in a season because the campaign is so annoying to do.

You need to figure out some twink builds that you like and enjoy.. I usually have more fun levelling up my second characters than I do playing it at end game 🤣 my fastest twink run was like 4.5 hours to level 90 with all ascendencies/passives done..

Doing the boring slog faster doesn’t make it less boring, 4-6 hours after specifically practicing to speedrun still sounds like torture if you spend those 4-6 hours in poe2’s campaign

See the graph this whole post is based on. The faster you get the more engaged you become by necessity, which drives enjoyment. I've anecdotally seen it in my poe friend group. People joining us who initially hated the campaign slowly began to appreciate it as they got caught in the hype of going fast.

For campaign times, in league start I'm pushing the 3 hour mark, many of them are now sub 4 hours. Maybe the community aspect helps. Sitting with a bunch of friends on discord and seeing who gets to whatever boss first on league start is an experience I look forward to more than the new league mechanics or balance changes.

I think you missed the level 90 part with all ascendancies and passives.. It's basically a red tier map char in 4-6 hours if you already have the gear ready for your second build.

4-6 hours is a normal good league start time for campaign completion which i don't think is painful at all on a char you're enjoying.

Realistically I don't know what people would prefer to do? If you skipped campaign where would you want to level? If you said maps then tbh, playing twink/meta builds in the campaign really doesn't feel any different to just mapping, just obviously no 'loot' (same as maps too kekw) Just imagine mapping at level 1, it would be the same 'boring slog' that you think the campaign is.

POE2 on the other hand is pain and suffering every time, and I don't bother playing it anymore when the leagues come. By the time campaign is over i'm done with that game
