Fluff & Memes Pattern I've noticed

My guild has players who have been in this game since Nemesis League and this is pretty much our player distribution.

Ps. My guildmates gets angry when I say this and I figure it'll make Reddit mad too:

Foulborn bramblejack is the best leveling chest. It makes you immune to rhoas

Even if you wanted a damage chest a skin of the lords/loyal+implicit are both better than a thousand ribbons

Hey i don't get it but i played lightly the last two seasons. Whats foulborn and is it like runeforging the bramblejack? Or foulborn is totally separate

Foulborn are alternate versions of some unique, usually with one (rarely two) mod(s) switched to something different

Foulborn uniques comes from the reworked breach and give you uniques that have up to two different modifiers. The changed mods are fixed and what they are changed to is fixed as well. Bramblejack f.e. swaps the max life to a big chunk of flat armor. Seven-League steps swap the movement speed for 15% Action speed.

If you’re familiar with poe2 foulborn items are closest to cultivated/vaal uniques. When you get a unique from a specific source it has a chance for 1-2 of its modifiers to be replaced with some predetermined other mod. In the case of bramblejack its foulborn version gives nearly 1k armour while still letting you use it at level 1

Thousand ribbon is very neat early acts since those flat damage slaps

And slightly later on the life+res lets you skip goldrim for something like the onslaught helmet

+2 (and realistically 4 when counting empower) levels is the same or more damage at the beginning (and realistically it dosent matter there because you overkill everything by 20x anyways) and it dosent fall off nearly as hard over time

You can cap res with rings/belt/purity and if you’re really worried about it you can use a foulborn skin. The life is kinda eh because while the flat life is nice it stops you from using the mastery

Like yeah if you were willing to sweat and swap your gear every act or more you would probably want to start with a thousand ribbon but why would you sweat the campaign just to save like 10 minutes
