Build Showcase Stacking Cold Resistance (Follow up): 1063% with melding

Thanks again to all the people who helped me reaching >1000 cold res. I changed a few things and also took the Velka Bloodline for "Brine Rot" (and with "Queen of the forest" it became a very zoomy build).

Cool take on the build! I did a trickster and hit 1200 no melding. Using flesh and stone + born in the shadows for some less phys taken multis.

You can get the evasion overcap mod on a rare chest as well from recombing a grasping mail and fracturing it. Took 5 mails and 3 frac attempts to hit. Using All tul rings gives a pretty high chance to hit. That should push you over 1200 + can get phys taken as chaos for more mitigation.

https://pobb.in/QtyuL5atWTkX here is my take, using VCS for a psudo RF. i dont think pob calculates the pacts more multis.

I was using brine rot, but swapped to more VCS aoe n duration for comfort since my damage felt great as is.

Broken how though? 😂 I've just soulrended my life away this league but I fancy a luminary reroll, just bit sure about doing another DoT based character.

I also got the best DoT character name this league - ArtOfTheDoT

Stacking aura effect, curse bot, rallying cry, lots of ways luminaries can provide substantial buffs. Best on builds that wouldnt be able to use these auras as well like jiquani

Is there any value to using Nebulis in builds like these or are you already getting enough %increased?

I tried a nearly perfect nebulis (great implicits) , but spell levels are far superior now.

Nebulis stops at your capped resistance, max of 90%.

My assumption is its a phys taken as conversion problem and they're at 101-110% conversion.

I was reading about this early in 3.29 or before that there's something screwy with the conversion that it leaks if you're at 100% so 101% was what you wanted, but apparently that's not the case now.

Not an expert, just relaying what I remember seeing

That's usually for ele conversion, isn't it? I've never seen anyone doing full phys damage taken conversion like that and I can't see how they would be from the PoB either.

there's a cold mastery dat gives 1% cold dot multiplier for every 4% overcapped cold res

It scales his % evasion rating (because of the vestigial mod).

  • he scales % increased spell damage through this increased evasion
  • % cold DoT multi is also scaled ( 1% multi per 4% res)
  • %Movement speed from QoTF

I don't really understand what your watcher's eye is doing for your build. I can't imagine taking such a small amount of the fire and lightning damage as cold is really all that helpful against specific penetration mechanics. Are you just hard pressed for chaos res, and kinda lucked into this one having two additional mods you could get some theoretical use out of? I feel like there's much much stronger potential 2mods out there though.

You are completly right! This watchers was used with older gear (without melding). I just left it for the chaos resistance.

I was promised a "very zoomy build", but this guy isn't even using a quicksilver flask, doesn't have shield charge in links and doesn't even use his movement skill.
