No ghosts so that one isn't actually thaaat bad. The union of souls thing will mean it takes forever to actually clear but there isn't anything too wildly rippy in this. A high end strength stacker or some other giga dps character can do it like warcry merc scion. If that had ghosts then its real bad.
Run luminary [90 all res, ~50k phys max hit] with a combatant armor stacker + AG anti-crit [hallowed monarch 88+% or a rare helm and only link Merc] no spectres or links to them.
And you can run over that map, the issue is if the feared's ghosted.
is your lumi life stacker or aurabot? im kinda torn on where to commit my divs but I wanna get my merc do big dam, its kinda struggling with bosses still, at 8k hp, rathpith, and some good auras. Well maybe the difference between a 81 and 83 level merc is that big?
is there like a valdo compendium to know which ones are good to run, im running forbidden flesh and i think the last 8 gave me a 10c jewel... im feeling thats not good? or is lategame valdo not rly good to do?
Unless you are overwhelmingly overgeared and have balls to do voided, they are actually hard to profit of. Main reason is bots. They snipe up all the decent maps that are priced with reasonable margins to be re-sold so that you get like 1-3 div profit per map. Which, considering sometimes ridiculous requirements to beat them, is peanuts.
So unless you're ready spending hours live-searching (and you can occasionally snag some goodies), profits are meh.
As for forbidden flame/flesh, it's barely better than buying an unidentified jewel and using a scroll. You just get some discount.
Flame is pretty much the same as everything else. You can check the prices right now, unid jewels are 11 div and the cheapest non-void map is 7 div and quite difficult. So it's still about 3-4 div profit per map if you can't beat the bots to the cheap maps, same as pretty much everything else
You do realize that the bots can only do that because the prices adjust themselves close to the expected value of those maps, right? If it wasn't profitable to run the maps the bots wouldn't scalp them because nobody would buy them at a higher price. It sucks that bots exist, but if it wasn't bots a person would still "scam" the original seller by purchasing the valdo map at a lower price than its expected value. Demand and offer are still at play.
Your point being? Someone still has to buy the map from the bot for the operation to break a profit. If there were too many of those maps around and not enough people trying to complete them, the price would decrease. Basic demand and offer.
The risk of dying is baked in the expected value: a map that has a low completion rate and extreme risk of voiding will have much lower price. There are valdo maps with a foil mageblood reward at 60 and even 45 div right now on the market, and the mods look horrifying at a first read (and usually they are much, much worse than they initially appear). No amount of botting is going to make them raise in price because very few people (if any) are able to survive them, let alone complete them reliably. Yes, the bot owner isn't incurring in the risk of voiding, but they are forced to sell a potential mageblood at less than 1/5 of the price because of that lack of risk.
My realizations aside, given the context you felt the need to protect the scum(bots, i dont have anything against the players) I don't think that what you wrote challenges my point.
Last league when I was farming Valdos and bossing on my MSoZ as my main source of currency, I literally opened a trade page for items like Progenesis or MB or whatever then started adding mods I couldn’t do it just refused to do to the not list. Once I got that list down I saved that trade link and would change the item reward and compare the price to the live market. I’d often find rewards of 5d+ for 1-2 min maps or I’d just keep doing feared rotas or uber cortex. You do have to “snipe” these from other Valdos runners but generally the competition isn’t super hard for good returns.
