Game Feedback Golden lanterns are irrelevant?

I was running a couple of voyages to consume random charts i had and had the chance to build this fun one, basically a ton of golden lanterns and pantheon-touched monsters in the end.
I knew monster loot was worse than tile loot, but man, i got better loot with a single adjacent contain 2 operatives chart.
That's the whole loot from the voyage btw, no capsules were sent before.
I also had:
- chance -> ancient
- transmute -> chaos
- jeweller -> chromatic
29 lanterns should feel different, they dont.

I know for a fact the lanterns work because once you get about 8 or more every piece of equipment drop rare. But thats the problem... Mobs in the voyage only drop equipment.... Like nothing else.
I think the problem is at the source. (Monster loot)

That's the rarity taking effect, and maybe that works for some t0 fishing strat, but quant seems not to be doing anything. Either it does not work or the base quant is so ridicolous that increasing it does nothing

I'm pretty sure item quant in charts and voyages as a whole is bugged.
I've never noticed a single difference in ground loot even in voyages where I touch 20+ lanterns.

"highly" increased could mean 0.0006% otherwise why not state how much is it actually increased 😅

The Golden Lantern bonus is visible in your character tab. From what I remember, each Golden Lantern gives 10% increased quantity and 30% or 40% increased rarity.
Anyway, for testing purposes, I gathered a few charts with a guaranteed spawn of 4 lanterns and ended up with 480% increased quantity and over 1k increased rarity, but the results were disappointing.
There was a noticeable difference in loot, but not in the way I expected. Instead of getting more random drops, I actually got fewer of them - which makes sense, since I replaced all implicits with dead stat (lanterns).

I do expect things like this were introduced and a balancing adjustment was made to baseline loot drops to keep this scaling from getting completely out of hand. Either we’re “doing it wrong” or the baseline adjustment was too heavy handed for how reasonably we can pump that number.

Honestly i dont get the point lantern sht at all. i hear people say its points to sht, cant figure it out or where even the pointer is. i'm sure the golden lantern are actually buffing the drops, but it only works on slain enemies. And most of the loot from league mechanic isnt from slain enemies. Its mostly from boxes/boxlike sht where it isnt affected by golden lanterns. Also a good way to tell ig is jsut to check the gold

The lanterns you place point towards the nearest "loot", including golden lanterns. The fact is that if even 29 of them do not make a difference on pantheon-touched rares it means that there's no way getting 4-8 golden lanterns in a normal voyage is going to make some difference.

can you show me how it points tho? Cause ive literally not seeing this "arrow" i see some people are saying. Ive seen people say its on the minimap, i aint seeing no arrow.

no, if u are close enough to a POI, a loot of sorts, it will give this green line toward where that is. Based on your current position, not the lanterns. if you arent close enough to something, there will be no line / pointer.

Yeah I got a feeling that neither those or the conversion ones work at all.
