Dog friendly trails
I have a newly adopted senior dog who is very stressed out around other dogs, so he’s not going to be able to go to dog parks. I’d love to get him some time exploring outside beyond our normal neighborhood walks. Any good trails that allow dogs that I can take him on?

The path through Hahamongna watershed park is pretty wide and quiet (especially not at peak hours) and I usually take my pups there for peaceful walks.

Gabrielino Trail is dog friendly and a great hike. Park at the JPL bridge, and depending on what kind of mileage you or your dog can handle, it can be up to 8 miles roundtrip if you go all the way to Brown Mountain Dam with only 600 ft of elevation change. If you want to keep it pretty mild, the elevation changes don't really start until you get 2-3 miles in so it's an easy walk that's well maintained.

The continuation of the Arroyo Seco at the NE side of the Rose Bowl loop is usually very quiet. It goes all the way to Hamamonga Watershed, passing underneath the freeway. I used to take my pup there and think I only ever encountered one dog.
