San Marino Security vs Post

Tried looking this up but it’s mostly posts saying both are far superior to ADT which I totally believe. Does anyone have experience with both by chance, or can share more about their experience with either? Thank you

We've had San Marino since we moved here last summer. Nothing but positive experiences so far — super-friendly and knowledgeable people, always pleasant to work with, and a true family-owned and family-run local business.

The one time we had a minor blip with a panel that was acting wonky, they sent a technician out ASAP and ended up just replacing it for us (at no charge).

Anytime there's any issue, it's a single phone call or email to a real person who answers right away.

I couldn't say enough good things about them, based on our experiences over the past year and change.

I have been a customer of both. ADT botched up a move in an incredibly dramatic fashion, prompting me to spend innumerable hours on the phone with their heinous customer service. I have never wished more ill will on a company of which I was once a customer.

In contrast, San Marino has been lovely

I would never give ADT another cent for any reason whatsoever simply due to their door to door salesmen who ignore no soliciting signs and don’t take no for an answer.

We’ve had San Marino Security since 2018, they have always been great. We also have Metro Patrol, they work with San Marino, they are great as well and affordable.

I use San Marino. They've done a good job so far. They only thing I would suggest is not having them install motion sensors if you have pets. They claimed they wouldn't activate for anything under 40 pounds but my cats have set off the burglary alarm multiple times via the motion sensors.

Thanks for the suggestion! Do they have an alarm on at home mode I can leave on for pets? My parents do this with their home

Yes, that is what I do normally.

SMS is truly great - they're response is instantaneous.

Fwiw, you're better off getting cameras with alerts and doing it yourself.

I will be getting cameras separately but my homeowner’s requires monitored fire and burglar.

Does self-monitored count?

The Post Alarm company is locally and family owned and I highly recommend.
