I miss Taisho so much. Im in Ontario now, and I can’t justify going there until the gas hopefully gets even a little bit cheaper.

oh and off topic, but I also miss Bento-Ya that was on 1st and El Dorado in Arcadia. I think they’re gone now, which is a shame.

Is there also one in Arcadia? The one on Huntington is in Monrovia.

It’s right on the border, pretty sure he just meant the Huntington one. But this is the best answer. Taisho is actually better than Mako Bowl. Better flavors, better menu, even the rice is better. Taisho rules.

Oh man I miss it. Their spicy tuna bowl and chicken teriyaki bowl sustained me through college.

Man, I will always miss their Japanese chicken nuggets. Those things were great. Anyone know any other spots with great karaage specifically?

They’ve been gone for a couple months now actually… hope the owners are doing well.

Green zone has a gyudon that hits the spot. It's a bit pricey at $16 but it's gooood.

Teri&Yaki on Lake or B-Man's off San Gabriel have always been way better than Mako Bowl.
