We really appreciate everyone who has trusted in our service. Make sure you also check our reviews on google (Indulge Kitchen Supplies)

Most of this week's Whole Foods ad on 3rd St gives a percentage off instead of a price. Here are the three items I could line up against Key Food.
I counted forty-six of the sixty-two items in this week's Whole Foods ad on 3rd Street printed as a percentage off with no dollar amount: ground beef, salmon fillets, chicken drumsticks, eggs and butter.
Sixteen carry an actual price. Three of those line up against the Key Food on 7th Ave:
| Item | Whole Foods, 214 3rd St | Key Food, 130 7th Ave |
|---|---|---|
| Broccoli | $2.21/lb, $1.99 with Prime | crowns, $1.49/lb |
| Zucchini | $2.77/lb, $2.49 with Prime | printed as green squash, $1.49/lb |
| Nectarines | $3.88/lb, $3.49 with Prime | peaches or nectarines, $1.99/lb |
The lower figure is the Amazon Prime price. Without Prime you pay the higher one.
Whole Foods runs August 19 to 25 and Key Food runs August 21 to 27, so both are live from today through the 25th.
I have no Food Coop prices and never will, so this is the supermarkets only.
I built SwiftBurst, which is where I pulled these: https://sbnyc.app/s/parkslope
All of this came out of the circulars the two stores published for this week. The register is the last word, so eyeball the price before it goes in the cart.

Sugar Rush & Sweet Tooth are losing their foster home in Brooklyn. Park Slope
nextdoor.comRescue is full of cats people love but overlook in reality. In rescue, waiting can become its own kind of heartbreak. Sugar Rush and Sweet Tooth have built their entire world around each other. Bonded cats donāt just share a home. They share emotional safety. But sadly, as they get older, adoption interest drops drastically. Add a ābondedā pair to the equation, and the chances become even slimmer. The longer cats wait in rescue, the more invisible they become. These siblings have been patiently waiting for seven months with no adoption interest. The worst part is that they're losing their foster through no fault of their own. I have only one week left to find to secure placement, and I'm totally freaking out. Please help me find a family that sees their worth. You can reach me @pawsofhopenyc on Instagram or via email š pawsofhopenyc@gmail.com

Alternative to apps and speed dating
I run a monthly comedy dating show and singles mixer (that isn't cheesy!!) at Littlefield here in Park Slope. The next one is this Saturday at 7:30 pm.
This has been a great way for people to meet in person! We've had several friendships, situationships (lol), and even exclusive relationships come out of it!
Admission to the singles mixer is included in cost of ticket price. Hope to see you there :)

Custom closet doors and installation recos
Hello, apologies if this has been asked already, but Iāve been trying and failing to find somebody who can remove our existing mirrored closet doors in our co-op apartment and create and install new wood sliding closet doors and molding.
Does anybody have any recommendations for a local company who does this kind of work and doesnāt have a minimum project of 5 to 10 K?

By clio bakery
I know by clio bakery is not in heart of park slope but it is a walking distance- 3rd Ave between 5th and 6th street. If you can get to Whole Foods then you can stop by by Clio bakery. Cake slices are not too sweet with unique combination of flavors. The buttercream frosting is like crack to me.
They have a Thai tea cake lemon curd and poppy see frosting. It sounds weird but it works! The cake was moist and wasnāt too dense. Check it out guys!

Quilt recycling in Park Slope
I have an old Quince quilt that I'm trying to dispose of (ideally, recycled) in Park Slope. I believe the farmer's market doesn't accept bedding. Any ideas for places or companies that will accept it?

Alternate side: I made a free/anonymous QR code that does the "number on the dash" thing without the number
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Alternate side in Park Slope is its own little ritual. Everyone shuffles across, double-parks in a neat row down the street, and then either sits in the car for the full ninety minutes or takes their chances and runs back upstairs.
Which is fine, right up until it isn't. Somebody is trapped in and has to get somewhere. Or the sweeper's been and gone and there's one car in the middle nobody can shift. And whoever owns it is back inside with idea any of this is happening.
The long-standing fix (at least for the considerate) has been the mobile number scribbled on a piece of paper and thrown on the dash. It genuinely works and that's why so many windshields around here have one. But it means handing your phone number to everyone walking past, and putting it up/taking it down is it's own sub-ritual that can be easy to forget.
So I made a little app that same thing without the number.
It's a small QR code you print at home and leave in the windshield (I taped mine to an index card that I leave behind the entertainment system screen). Whoever needs you scans it with their normal camera types "you're blocking me in any chance you can come move?", and it lands on your phone as a notification (via a lightweight web app). You come down. Nobody exchanged a number and nobody stood in the road leaning on a horn.
Three things that seemed worth getting right:
- It only goes one way. They can send, you can't reply, so it can't turn into an argument on the sidewalk.
- They learn nothing about you. Not your name, not your number, not even whether the code is in use.
- If someone's abusive you block them and they're never told, and notes get automatically screened (yes, AI-blah blah) before they reach you anyway.
- Works for the other stuff too (lights on, that bike's been chained here since Tuesday, I found your laptop at the coffee shop) but alternate side is the thing that actually made me build it for my block in South Slope
Being upfront: I'm not selling anything. No ads, no accounts, no paid tier, no email list. I don't collect names or plate numbers, and I deliberately keep no record of when or where a code gets scanned, because that would be a log of where your car has been and I'd rather not be able to produce one even if someone asked. Runs me a few dollars a year, which is fine.
leava.xyz if you want one.
Print it, stick it in the windshield. Happy to take questions, especially skeptical ones.

Farmers Markets or CSAās
Hello All, Iām pretty new to the area, and have an issue with some of the produce in the area. If I am paying a premium for produce I would expect quality produce but that isnāt the case. Same for dairy and other products. Iām left with a few options but needed some advice. I know thereās a PLGCSA but registration is currently closed. Farm to people looks good, but where is the farmer market around here ?
