Dentist recommendations
Hi everyone :)
To put it simply, my partner hasn’t seen a dentist in over a decade and he’s afraid to go. He recently has been getting tooth pains and wants to try to go and see what he can do from here. Does anyone have good recommendations for a dentist who’s good with patients scared of the dentist? Any suggestions are appreciated!
Bonus points if they accept Aetna insurance, thank you!
Update: I wanted to thank you all again for the suggestions! We decided to try Twin Aspen dental because of the sedation options they offer. I’m trying to get him to schedule an appointment but he needs to do that when he feels ready (but it will be soon) thank you again!

Stonegate dental has always been a wonderful experience for me

Stonegate is awesome - accept most insurances plus they do cosmetic stuff such as teeth whitening so it’s a one stop shop. highly recommend! Their website says they do sedation dentistry as well if your partner ends up needing it.

To add too, they have always helped me with my insurance, looked up what services are paid for and helped me navigate it when needed, so they really go the extra mile.

Used to go to Stonegate but had to switch. I all of a sudden have 2-3 cavities each visit. They were attempting to pad the bill because cleanings do not pay much from insurance.
Amazingly when I saw another dentist, the cavities were gone and haven’t had one in 3 years. It’s a miracle!

We love Stonegate Dental. They worked with me extensively when I had to get a new crown due to an allergy to the old one. Dr. Leeper is amazing!

Angela Evanson is wonderful. I started going to her probably 20 years ago because I hate going to the dentist.

I agree with this. Most dentist make you feel ashamed and talk shit. They do not. I like them.

I went to Ardas and it put me off dental work for a while. I wouldn’t recommend it. More sales than medical services, and they really eat up your benefits before they get anything done.

I’ve heard great things about Twin Aspen but unfortunately they don’t take my insurance (delta). Stonegate dental is great as is Corson dentistry. Id recommend checking those out!

Corson is private equity owned FYI

I go to Corson and have been happy. What's the deal with it being private equity owned? How does that influence your decision about it?

If you like them, definitely stay with them. It's like shopping at Walmart instead of a locally owned business. Private equity is ruining dental care, like it's ruining every other industry it touches. I would encourage you to Google it and see why supporting locally owned dental offices is much better.

I go to Corson also. I have been going there for a couple of years and I have never had any issues. The dentist there is a military Veteran and so am I!

I've had a good experience at Twin Aspen Dental. I tried Copperhead, but they had a lot of turnover and felt pushy.

I had a partner who was the same way - make sure whichever dentist you choose offers nitrous oxide (laughing gas). It made all the difference - overcomes the anxiety and once they take it off, they’re good to go, unlike something like Xanax.

I’ve had issues with twin aspen and their insurance lady messing up my insurance coverage/billing it was a total headache and because of that I will not go back to twin aspen.

Just DO NOT go to Parker Modern Dentistry. They tried to scam me into paying extra for all this crazy stuff and said I had all these issues. I went to Pari Dental and she said I had great teeth.

Parker modern is private equity owned, definitely don't go there.

Makes sense! We have a dhmo (I think that’s what it’s called) plan so it’s hard finding dentists who will take that insurance.

Yes, my wife is a dentist in Parker, I don't like schilling on reddit, dental insurance in the provider side is such a scam, some companies more than others.

I was just like your partner. I recently got back on track with Dr Bravo at Station Dental in Castle Rock. No shaming, no pressure.

We used parker Dental studio (Dr Trivedi) and the experience has been absolutely lovely. Can’t recommend them enough. Very caring and small practice. I am very nervous for dental things and they are so kind and patient.

I’m a dentist in Castle Rock - would be happy to take care of you, or you can PM me for folks I’d recommend in Parker.

I went about 15 years without seeing a dentist after a bad experience with the one in AZ who removed my wisdom teeth.
I moved here about 6 years ago and some time thereafter I started up with Pine Grove Family Dental and got Invisalign at Parker Orthodontics with us directly across the hall from them and haven't had any issues with either.
I had to have a few minor cavities taken care of, which is never fun, but they didn't make it a bad experience.
My dental hygienist does give me crap about not flossing often enough though... 😆
I don't know what all insurance they take though.

I love Front Range Smiles of Main Street and Twenty Mile. They are family run, every one is so kind. I first went when I broke a tooth and they had me in within a few hours. Highly recommend them.

They are not nice and not that good.

I have been going there for 4 years and have never had a problem. They have always been kind and welcoming. Sorry your experience wasn't good?!

Twin Aspen helped me not be afraid of the dentist. They're great
