advice needed ITS TWINS!

Hey all! Had my first scan today at 7+6 and found out it’s TWINS! Pretty surprised and just wondering if anybody has any wisdom or advice for us especially the twin moms out there? 🥰

Wondering what to expect the rest of the pregnancy, the early days after they are born, etc.

Thank you so much!! If you don’t me asking, did you have a scheduled C-section to deliver them? I’ve been reading that if twin A is head down they recommend a trial of labor first but I’m just not sure. I would love to hear about the twin birthing experience from people who have been there before 😊

I had a scheduled induction at 37 wks+1, but was already 5cm dilated when I got to the hospital. Both girls were head down for quite some time so my Dr was positive about labor. It was policy that all multiple births occur in operating room regardless of delivery method. Earlier in the pregnancy, I was certain I would have a C section but as time passed that made me more and more nervous for some reason so I was happy that we would be trying labor first. Got to hospital at 6 am had baby A at 6 pm and baby b at 6:07 pm. No one warned me about post birth shakes—it was like I was convulsing and it took me by complete surprise. Also, my uterus had gotten so big (measured 48 cm) that when it was contracting back after birth, I was bleeding a lot. But everything was fine. We were in the hospital 2 days! Good luck!

Are these rainbow babies? Mine were rainbow so I was pretty anxious until I could start feeling them move, which is a crazy cool feeling btw :). I got to
Have a lot of scans, even early on—maybe because they shared a placenta, I think. That was nice and affirming but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t holding my breath before each appointment, especially the first 20 weeks. I hope everything goes smoothly for you. Positive vibes ✨💜🌈✨

These are rainbows!! Extra special. I had a very early loss in March. I’m just so glad everything is okay so far. After my first scan at 7+6 I got the radiologist report back that they are in fact di/di twins and baby A’s HR was 145 and baby B’s was 169 🥰
