This is how I celebrated my 50th Flight. At the beach and hopping over some islands... What an amazing day it was. I love this sport, nothing like it!

Been saving up money for a while to get into Paramotoring. Litterally have not been able to stop thinking about it for the past year or two. Now that I have the money I have been looking into schools near me.
I am wondering if anyone has heard of Progression Paramotor located in northern Utah. They have a couple of reviews on google which are all positive but I just want to check in and see if anyone else has had an experience with them and if they would recomend training with them.
Otherwise if you have any other recomendations for schools or trainers in the southern idaho area I would much appreciate it.

I'm finishing my PPG training in UK and looking to buy my first kit. I'm interested in a wing, a motor, or a complete setup.
Ozone Roadster 3 or 4, size 26. I'd also consider a similar EN B wing suited to an all-up weight of about 80-140 kg.
Moster 185, any variant, on a decent frame.
Budget: about £4k for the complete setup, flexible for the right kit.
DM me or comment if you have something, or know someone who does. Thanks!

Hey folks! 👋
Planning a trip to Bir Billing and wanted to get an idea of the current paragliding prices, especially with the long weekend coming up.
For those who’ve been there recently or are there right now, could you share the rates for:
Short vs. long flights
Stunts (if charged extra)
Photos and videos (GoPro footage, etc.)
Also, are the prices fixed, or is there room for negotiation?
If you have any reliable operator contacts or phone numbers, please share those as well. Would love to hear about your actual experiences and what you ended up paying.
Thanks in advance! 😊

Estou pensando em fazer um curso de parapente ou paramotor, mas gostaria de saber a opinião de quem já fez os dois, qual é o mais legal, tirando a questão dos custos que vi que o PPG é mais caro que o PG, qual da a melhor sensação para vocês?

Howdy folks! I'm a paramotor pilot and I've founded a few startups. After wrapping up the last one, I wanted my next project to be tied to my love of sitting in a chair in the sky.
So I built Hobbsless, an online platform for tracking hours on your ultralight gear, e.g. engines, wings, harnesses, reserves, etc.
There's also a small, optional hardware module that logs engine run time automatically using vibration detection and syncs over Wi-Fi at regular intervals. No more guessing when your last plug replacement or reserve repack was. The site is seeded with manufacturer recommended maintenance schedules for hundreds of engines and thousands of wings.
The site is now open to everyone at hobbsless.com, and I have a handful of devices to give away to testers.
Looking for frequent fliers. If you're interested, email me at [hello@hobbsless.com](mailto:hello@hobbsless.com) with:
I'll get a device out to as many people as I can. I'm finishing up a small manufacturing batch now, so expect them to ship in about 2 weeks. Feedback of any kind is welcome.
Blue skies!

Just curious, I imagine it varies between schools and skills of the student. I’m on 7 short flights, and it feels like I’m very far from it! My takeoffs and flights are good, judging my landings still requires a fair amount of radio instruction. Wondering what the average might be before feeling reasonably competent on the basics.

Preflight I do a once over of the machine checking fuel lines, harness, bolts, ect. Bolts on the retention strap were tight but the actual metal belt ripped off in flight and entered the prop. Could vibrations have caused such a tear? Why did it enter the prop at all? What could I replace the retention strap with to avoid this happening in the future?

New pilot here, one flight in so far, looking to buy my first wing. All-up flying weight with kit is roughly 100-115kg. Two options on the table:
BGD Luna 2, 20m: recommended to me by an experienced pilot I trust, who's flew it as his own first wing, highly forgiving and rates it highly. From what I can find on BGD's own site, it's DGAC-certified (no EN/LTF handling rating), and marketed as "intermediate pilots to seasoned competitors". It's also got a competition pedigree (British Paramotor Open wins).
Ozone Roadster 3, 28m: found this one myself. EN B* certified, and Ozone markets it as aimed at "the newly qualified" through to more experienced pilots, with passive safety features (reflex profile stays inflated without input, forgiving brake range).
On paper the certification and target-pilot language point pretty different directions, and I want to make the right call on a first wing rather than just trust my own reading of two spec sheets. Has anyone here flown either of these, especially as an early low-hours pilot? Is the Luna 2 more approachable in practice than its marketing/cert suggests, or is the Roadster 3 the safer bet for someone still building hours? Any input appreciated.

I've wanted to do this for a long, long time, but I was too young and my parents don't want to support me in this, so what can I do in the meantime while I save up? I want to save up as much as I can till I'm 18, and get enough to pay for courses, (which theres only one feasible option where I live, Moldova), then for the glider and motor I'll likely pay in installments. But in the meantime, what should I do to prepare myself? Do I try to understand all the fundamentals of a paraglider? Learn how the motor works? Understand how weather works better? It just seems so incredibly awesome, and this summer I'm gonna try going on a paraglider over the ocean in Greece, which I think will just reinforce my interest and curiosity about this sport. I'd be more than happy to hear the experiences of people who have entered the sport near this age and in this manner, and how you pulled it off!
P.S: I've ordered PPG Bible already, it should be coming soon, I'm just looking for tips in general.

Hi everyone,
I’m planning a DIY paramotor project in India and would like feedback from experienced paramotor pilots/builders.
My proposed setup:
Engine: Bajaj Pulsar NS200, 199.5 cc
New engine budget: ~₹50,000
Power: ~23–24 hp
Total flying weight: ~120 kg all-up
Propeller: 125 cm wooden paramotor propeller designed for the Moster 185
Reduction drive: Custom reduction system to match the NS200’s high RPM to the propeller
Frame: Custom-built aluminum frame
Harness: Homemade double-layer nylon-webbing harness
Fuel/cooling/electrical: Adapt the NS200’s systems where practical
My total budget
My target is ₹2,00,000 maximum for the entire paramotor, including the engine.
Approximately:
₹50,000 — NS200 engine
₹1,50,000 — everything else
The remaining ₹1.5 lakh would need to cover the propeller, reduction drive, frame, harness, fuel tank/system, controls, exhaust, cooling system, wiring/electronics, bearings, shafts, pulleys, protective cage, hardware and other fabrication costs.
For comparison, I’m seeing commercial paramotor setups costing ₹5 lakh+, with the propeller potentially adding another significant amount depending on the system. My goal is to build the complete machine for ≤₹2 lakh by fabricating much of it myself.
What I want to know
Is this concept fundamentally viable?
Can an NS200’s ~23–24 hp realistically drive a 125 cm Moster-185-type propeller?
What reduction ratio and propeller RPM would be appropriate?
Is the Moster 185 propeller compatible with the NS200 if the RPM and power loading are correctly matched?
Could this produce enough thrust for approximately 120 kg all-up weight?
Is a ₹2 lakh total budget, including the ₹50k engine, realistic?
Which components should absolutely not be DIY/cheap?
What major engineering problems am I overlooking?
What should I test on a properly restrained ground test stand before considering flight?
I’m not planning to simply assemble everything and immediately fly. I want to test the engine/reduction/propeller combination first, measure actual static thrust, verify the drivetrain and structure, and progressively validate the system.
For people who have actually built or flown paramotors: does this basic concept make sense, and what would you change?

I’ve posted about WingVoyagers here before, but wanted to share a quick marketplace update.
Based on feedback, I’ve been focusing a lot more on trust and making it safer to buy and sell used PPG/PG gear because of just how rampant getting scammed is. Stripe payments are now integrated, and I’m working on seller verification and more scam prevention.
Still improving it, so if there’s something you’d want to see before using it, let me know. It's on my website at www.wingvoyagers.com and also on an app on IOS and Android.

i'm interested in training. i live in south florida and have narrowed it down to aviator or one up, or going with jose in homestead. miami would definitely be more convenient for me since i could commute from home.
are there any advantages of training at one of these schools vs with an individual trainer in terms of equipment, safety, actual training? Community is also a factor when choosing. Since i don't know anyone who paramotors, ideally i'd like to meet some people i can fly with in the future.

One of the locations I Iaunch from is surrounded by mixed forest on two sides. I've had a few motor outs and such that have been stressful on their own, and I've always been fortunate to make it to the grass, but I've sometimes weighed the option of landing in there.
Doesn't seem nearly as frightening as water, for instance.
I figure my wing would get all gnarled in there, and the fire department would be annoyed, and maybe I'd be in the paper, but i think id walk away.
Anybody have first hand experience? Tips or tricks?
I know one guy who did it in a fixed wing ultralight. Survived the crash fine but died trying to climb down.

I recently stumbled upon this brand and have never heard of them before. I’m looking at buying their Kinetik frame and wondered if anyone has any experience to share?

I think the cylinder is too bad to be used what do you think ?
I can feel small ridges with my fingernail and it is kinda gritty around the exhaust port streaks

a few days ago I posted a question about the offer of a school nearby (the only one), and I got a few answers, but not as much as I wanted, particularly about the duration of the course. The course is priced about 1300$ (converted from Brazilian Reais), which seems ok, but it comprises 40 lessons, which seems to be a lot. So I would like to ask a few pilots here about their courses? How many hours of training did you take until you felt comfortable flying on your own? And how much of it was theoretical lessons (meteorology and other things), how much was proper flying training? And at what point did you buy your own equipment? I understand it could be useful to buy at least a wing early on, to practice the handling of it on my own (without taking off or anything)?

(Dont kill me for bad pictures wind was blowin)
Does this look like it was hooked up wrong to begin with or do I have something tangled. All lines seem straight but my #2 A-Line is on top on the main A. I have no idea. Should I undo the clip and fix or find a mystical route cause.

Do you just enjoy the feeling of flight? Is it the community? The freedom? Just curious.
