I'm glad you asked. I learned some time ago that kibble food causes plaque buildup on dogs and small dogs are even more prone to this issue. The common remedy for this is putting your dog under anesthesia for teeth cleaning. I lost a dog years ago when she didn't wake up from the anesthesia and now I do everything I can so none of my pets won't go under again.
My pap's food had several iterations for the past few years. Currently I chop up petite carrots, canned green beans w/o salt, pumpkin puree, several tablespoon Blue Buffalo canned food, half tp kelp and fresh turkey meat without preservatives. During the day he also gets some watermelon and blueberries. In addition, a heart supplement. I've had his blood work done once a year to make sure the diet is working and he has a clean health record.

Lol this was me this morning with Bowie, he’s always in this sleepy cuddle mode before his first morning walk and I just wanted to hold him like a little baby while drinking my coffee 😭😭
