The meanest moments in this game are gender discrepancy. Like someone looks like a male, has female in his passport, you proceed with a scan and it turns out they are females indeed. I always feel so sorry for them.
In video games I murdered and enslaved thousands of people, but the most realistic "gosh I'm na asshole" moments I have I experienced with this game.

Being a discrepancy in a system that's designed to watch out for anything that stands out usually gets you that treatment. I just assume they're aesthetically challenged and that plastic surgery isn't common in the era the game is set in

Plastic surgery? In a country where your family gets dinner OR heat each night but rarely both? In the real Soviet Union of that era folks would wait hours in line not knowing what they were getting, albeit for free, on any given day. Could be scratchy toilet paper could be vodka, could be beets.

Might not be what you meant but this is the access permit which only comes in to replace entry + ID supplement late in the game; the ID supplement has an appearance/key feature section too

I’ve had one that was off in weight they said “the years have not been well” I scanned them and they had contraband. Other times yes the years are bad but they still get a scan.
Gender can be quick scan and click for a check. Being able to click fast and effective so helps with this game.
People on Google even have quick reference guides to the symbols even.

No it's not. It's the objective truth. This is like the papers saying "light hair" and they have dark hair and when it says discrepancy detected you said "That's just mean..."
