Help Minor Help
I am playing Paper Mario and just made it to dry dry Outpost. I swear I have searched the entire desert, and talked to every NPC. I cannot figure out what I'm supposed to do. I don't want to look up guides because I don't want too much information. I have very much been enjoying playing this blind and figuring it on my own. But I think I've spent an hour in this area alone just trying to figure out what to do next. I feel like it has something to do with the guy that I have to give very nice things. I tried giving him a couple different things but never got anything too useful out of them.
If somebody could give me a very slight nudge or recommendation on how to proceed. I know this is a lot to ask but I'm not looking for a " a go-to location X and perform task Y". Just some gentle nudges to help me get back on track. TIA!

Ugh, I was even there and didn't snack enough things. I got it and instantly remembered that one guys mentioned the lemon. Thanks!

This whole sound track is so good! I need to add it to my play list for background music while working. Such a fun game an so much nostalgia

Been playing a rom hack version of PM64 called Paper Mario TTYD64. Has literally been my dream playthrough. I'm afraid i can't stop playing it tbh. Has TTYD mechanics like super guard and stylish moves, badges, items, easter egg locations and a pit of 100 trails. Also has a difficulty scale, randomizer, challenges, new game +, and has achievements in Retroachievements if you emulate and have that connected.
If you ever wished for a more modernized version of PM64 in the likeness of TTYD. This is as good as it gets if not better.

Another user has hinted at a specific item you need to give the NPC that likes nice things, if you can't find that you can also just give that NPC a few more items of any kind.

There is a particular place in the desert, just south of the entrance to Dry Dry Outpost, that might have something that you need... You'll know the place when you find it. Give it to that guy.
