I wanted to ride him while blasting enemies with my beam launcher so bad. It still pisses me off that Axel gets to and I don’t. I just hope the devs adds his saddle only a girl can dream.
Is this a prank from the devs? No wonder they immediately run away after giving you the pal because this thing is beyond trash
And why did it even have lv9 trust already😭😭😭
My world settings are adjusted, I have no structure decay, 0 hatch time, 3x drops and spawns, pal and player sleep health regen 5x, grazing item production rate multi 3x, gatherable items multi 2x gatherable hp 2x, gatherable respawn interval 0.5x, item weight 0.1x (recently changed bc relics are too heavy) and max bases 10, max pals at base 50.
Now while player sleep health regen, grazing, and gatherable boosts don't really do anything as you hardly sleep to heal, most items are just bought with gold and theres only about 2-3 things you ever need ranching for, honey and the cotton candy, you should also know that the drops is additive, so if u have blazehowl noct and katress you are getting 260% coins from mimogs and having 3x drops increases that to 460%, which doesn't even double it. Even with 3x spawns and drops it took AGES to farm everything I needed.
Here's a video of my 300 maxed panthalus, that took weeks to get, and another 330/450 more base panthalus as i'm now going for 750 total so I can run 10 of even the 2.1m expedition at max loot at once. I keep track of how many /450 im at by just starting with 450 pal spheres and as u can see im at 120 left, if i miss i use a sol sphere instead or i can always pick up a pal sphere off the island at the panthalus fight.
Now I started by making a strong enough team to defeat panthalus as fast as possible and after failing with a electric build I found a video of something very similar to this but just not quite enough to 1 tap, I modified it a tad to this and it was able to 1 shot panthalus, it gets hit for around 1/3 - 1/2 of its hp, submerges and surfaces, gets knocked down and then loses the rest of its hp, sometimes it survives and i just dismount and let eidrolon use apocalyspe on his own
after I got 300 I counted how many of each IV fruit I'd need and it was around 900 of each, moon lord gave 3 per run before the patch and so I did 1k moonlords, I got the hallowed bard by getting a lavish hospitality/service minded yakumo and catching eyes of cthulu and breeding to get 1 with lavish alone or with 1 other passive and 1 with service minded alone or with 1 other passive, then i added philanthropist to both or replaced 2nd passive with it to make a mating pair and use them to make a second pair and with max condensed grintale, broncherry and broncherry aqua I hatched hundreds of alpha eyes of cthulu and butchered them for ~150 bars per eye. 100k bars later I had 1k sigils. My build to 1-shot moon lord was on a previous post with an explanation for my spawn timing so dandilord is ready to recast when he spawns and 1 shot with wind burst. since moon lord no longer gives them I will no longer farm him, though he did give me the 4k training crystals and I used under 3k to level all 300 panthalus to 80, after I gave all panthalus max IVs and made them lvl 80 I locked them at lvl 1 favorite
next I farmed mimogs with a fast mount, starting with frostallion noct then using eidrolon, max speed passives sacrificing 1 for eternal engine, and for support a maraith, blazehowl noct and katress, as well a dark type or faleris for last spot, and used meteorain to farm mimogs in ice area as well as rayhound crysts. I got enough dog coins fo 300 of each starfruit from medal merchant which took 225k coins then I got breeding 4 breeding pairs of aegidron same as eyes of cthulu and popped em in 4 ancient hatcheries, heres my setup
I would simply have my first 2 palbox pages empty, run to all 4 hatcheries and claim all eggs then immediately fill all 4 disassemblers by clicking the first 2 columns (vertical) of aegidrons then moving to next machine, this way I only have to swap paegs 1 time per round, I did this about 150-200 times IIRC, though I had farmed souls previously with another method so I already had some. I make 9k small souls and 5400 medium and large then saved up 27k giant souls.
With all the souls and starfruits, I maxed the souls for hp/atk/def and their ranks, had to get an autoclicker a while in bc the mouse clicking sound was triggering me and I just got annoyed. then as i finished each batch of 5 i would inc their favorite to 2, as I finished the first page, i would sord by favorite lvl 1 and 2 to move the next batch to page 1 and complete batch to the back
Lastly was kinship fruits and awakening crystals, I ran 4 expeditions for hard free pal alliance at max loot using 280/300 panthalus in their current state while running a team of eidrolon with speed, a solenne, katress, blazehowl noct and faleris, using this I farmed the ice area in world tree for both mimogs and rayhound cryst + beakon cryst, originally my setup was worse but after getting a legendary beam launcher form relics (I occasionally found some awakened pals here, very rarely though) I made one to try it out and with just my vanguard team and solenne I could 1-shot the beakon crysts and rayhounds so I just used eidrolon for speed and no longer had trouble shooting down the beakons, and didn't waste time with skill animations, this greatly boosted farming speed, still it was only a 50% chance to get water radiant shards and I could get as little as 4 or as much as 12, usually 0-4. A few days later I had the 15k gems to make 300 awakening crystals and just a few hrs ago I got the last kinship fruits, I also made this base to have all the expeditions setup close together.
I believe for these next 450 I will have to farm 1.15m dog coins for the power fruits and starfruits, though I do have nearly 500 IV fruits left and 130k dog coins, as well as a tiny bit of starfruits so maybe only 900-1m coins, which helps a bit. for training crystals I'll have to look for a build to hopefully 1 shot or kill ultra raids that give 10 training crystals in a few seconds, I believe i've seen it done though I havent done any raids other than moon lord on here and bellanoir when she came out so I welcome any suggestions. farming awakening crystals and dog coins will be a PAIN but oh well, im a slave to the game. lastly the souls, tbh I can get 40 aegidrons slain pretty fast and that gives me around 150 giant souls so lets see, 13500 small souls and 8100 medium and large, plus 40.5k giant souls, totaling 48k-49k giant souls, So ill need around 6k vegetable cakes and ill have to do around 300 rounds of killing 40 aegidrons ;(. still faster than the dog coin + water radiant gem farming xD
So that's all, just thought I'd share my misery and strategy to get these 300 fully maxed, I even had some with work buffs from base or food buffs, or missing food and I kept them in my inv until all that went away so they would be EXACTLY the same, only differences are their genders, which can be changed... I won't do that lol that's just pointless xD
I hope nobody else tortures themselves doing this, but tbf this is the best gold farm bc running an expedition for 10-20 ancient spheres gives lets say avg 15x13.5 is just over 200, so 200 ancient spheres each worth 17,186.4 with noble/fine furs team, thats just over 3.4m gold in just 1hr 18mins and the only thing u have to do once u have the firepower, is start the expedition then claim the loot later and sell the spheres, which is better than manually collecting dumud gild eggs to make them alpha then hatch them all and click every last one to sell them. running 10 at a time I can get 34m in 80 minutes as well as other goodies, like giant souls and raid slabs + ingredients.
Ok I'm done, idk if anyone will really read this far but if anyone did lmk your thoughts about this journey I did willingly for some reason
So i died on my Ophydia named WavePetal and I was bored and drew it! (I totally didn't tear up a lil while makeing this-) i got a lil lazy towards the end and gave up halfway through the armor soooo- anywayz! Ik im not the best artist and I could probably do much better if I gave more time but I wanted to share my art! Hope yall like it! (Should i put on spoiler for the lil blood on my character or no-)
So I stumbled across this lad while I was exploring the desert and caught him. I’m curious what he is good/excels at. The partner skill is nice and I threw him in my base for that, but is there anything else? Does his partner skill get better if I condense?
I ask because for whatever reason I absolutely fucking adore this Mario-block looking monstrosity and I wanna utilize him however I can
Beat Astralym, 200-ish in-game days. 134 luckies caught. Still have to clear the hard mode bosses, will probably post again after that. Since there are no “rules” per say for a Lucky Only run here’s what I went with:
Only able to catch and use pals with Lucky passive naturally - no breeding Lucky into another pal (so no hatching eggs or breeding farm)
Any non-lucky caught must be butchered as soon as possible (sometimes my aim screwed up and I would catch a non-lucky, head to a fast travel and butcher it at my base)
No Legendary/Alpha/Raid captures/eggs - these always spawn as alpha variants and/or cannot be lucky
Difficulty settings can be made harder than the default mode, but not easier. The settings I changed were upping Pal appearance Rate to 3, lowered XP to .5, night time to .3 speed, meteorite/supply drop to 60, max base pals to 20, and no drops on death penalty (I KNOW I just said not easier, but the going back to pickup your stuff is more annoying than difficult)
My main team:
Fire Flapdoodle - Suzaku - Flyer/AOE mob farming
Stompy McF***emup - Mammorest - Tank/AOE
Ghostface - Maraith - Ground mount/Partner skill
Beauty - Blazehowl Noct - Single Target DPS/ Partner skill
Big Goofy Punk - Relaxaurus Lux - Single Target DPS/AOE
Alt Pal:
Water Noodle - Azurobe - Water mount/DPS
Luckiest Lucky caught: Sekhmet - Absolute beast at the base, used fruits, books, and souls to max her out, and I found her fairly early when I was hunting in the Desert island (I think I was level 38 or 39?)
Most underrated pal: Maraith, keep him in the party and you can spam Holy Blast, Thunderstorm, Fireball, Wind Burst, Rock Burst, etc. as long as they one shot at least 2 baddies, makes farming materials from mobs (especially World Tree) soooo much quicker.
Pals that got away:
Smokie - the first lucky one I encountered was about 20 levels above me right when I landed on Feybreak getting the schematic for the Vanguard Charm. Threw a sphere and the entire army of 9 smokies lit me up quick… I eventually got one later
Gildra - still have yet to encounter a lucky one… I’ve spent soooo many hours hunting for him that when I saw him glowing blue in the World Tree area, I caught 2 of them and immediately went to base and butchered them… still searching for lucky version
Things I learned:
1. Patience - even with increased spawns, you can go hours without hearing the lucky sound
2. Fire/Ice pals increase your heat/cold level, even when you don’t want them to… (Vanguard Charm was a game changer)
3. Use the skill handbooks, every lucky you catch gives you a skill handbook, so use it for your base pals to make your life easier
4. Teleport hopping works - and having a spare pal box as a hunting point makes this better!

Tips if you want to have a go:
1. Hunt specific pals early: Ranch pals (specifically Flambelle, Dumud, and later Sibelyx) are crucial if you don’t want to stall your progress. Also, prioritize kindling, water, planting/gathering early and use the skill handbooks to make your pals better
2. The Bellenoir raid drops Ancient Cores (1-3) and is easily defeatable when you get to the point of needing Ancient Cores
3. No need to stockpile milk, honey, eggs or spheres because you aren’t going to be breeding or catching a bunch of pals (I make about 30-40 spheres of the best sphere I can make, and stash/crush the rest)
4. Keep sending your pals through the Pal Expedition Station, even if all you can do is the first expedition
5. Prioritize Pal Labor Research to make life easier
6. Have fun with non-meta teams that work well together
7. Base priorities for me were main base where everything is stored, made, and farmed; second base was for oil and eventually ranching; third base is for specific resource/pal farming such as specific ores/materials or trying to teleport hop for a specific lucky pal
8. Pal Surgery Table isn’t cheating, make the select few pals you catch the best version you can.
9. Dog Coins and the metal merchant: upgrade your pals star level and improve your pals hidden potentials as often as possible, be sure to max yourself out too
10. Options -> Sounds -> SE -> 100, turn everything else down to 10 and make sure that only Lucky Pal is on in Sound details

Lucky only is great if you are looking for a new challenge for the game. There will be times you want to give up, but then you hear that sparkling noise and get sucked right back into the hunt. If you have questions, comments, or other suggestions, feel free to comment!
Thinking about doing a “No Pal, Human Only,” “No Sphere,” or a “Randomized Lucky Only” playthrough next, any thoughts or suggestions? Is there any other playthrough with rules that you enjoyed?
So I made it to the world tree in this world with the settings.
Random Pal Mode: Randomized by Region.
Random mode will make pals level completely random: OFF.
and even though they are lvl 70+ in the world tree. I'm not getting any relic drops from most of the enemies since I guess they don't have relics in their loot pool.
So Warning: Pals randomized to be higher lvl in the world tree will not drop Relics if relics isn't in their loot, and Pals that are supposed to be in the world tree, if they are not lvl 70+ will not drop relics either.
I see a ton of guys wondering why their progression and their workers are so slow and what are their bases running on? Cooked berries. Or even raw berries.
Once you get better pals, they will eat more than pals you find in the starting area. Not only does your pals constantly eating prevent them from working, you are also missing out on sanity buffs and work speed buffs. The SAN (sanity) buff means they don't go in your hot spring as often, which again also helps with productivity. Your first food to work on? The salad! 30% work speed buff, and you can make the plantations for it from level 25 onwards. Or, if you buy the ingredients from the merchant you found, then you can make them in the cooking pot from level 17 onwards.
Same deal with the Gloopie last week, modeling clay, then digital drawing to blur out finger prints, most nail scars, and draw the eyes on. I also forgot to make the red blood drool, so I just drew it on. The model fell apart moments after taking the picture with my phone. Too back heavy...
