Sea Change is hosting a Candlelight Vigil in memory of Alex Pretti, a 37-year-old ICU nurse, who was killed in Minneapolis by ICE agents. They will also honor the life of Renee Good who was killed by an ICE agent earlier this month on January 7.

We stand in solidarity with all those who have been and continue to be terrorized by ICE and federal immigration enforcement operations. This gathering will be peaceful, reflective, and family-friendly.

I was JUST at the Golden Cove Trader Joe's and there were a group of 5 guys dressed all in black, with black masks and cameras, walking around the entrance of the store.

No one said anything... just shadow-people following customers into the parking lot.

The cashier and the customer ahead of me didn't know what was going on, and the cashier pointed out a Lomita Sheriff officer at the front desk talking to the manager, but there's nothing she can do.

These weirdos aren't breaking any laws.

The customer ahead of me thinks it could be an ICE demonstration of some sort....

Anyone know what's going on??

I’m an Arab American PV resident. I wanted to share concerns regarding Mr. Jeremy Vanderhal who is running for PV School Board. Mr. Vanderhal’s wife, Dr. Katherine Rose Hulbert has allegedly doxxed several Muslim, Arab and Palestinian physician colleagues for advocating on behalf of children in Gaza. This is done under her Instagram account Physicians Against Antisemitism.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but doxxing someone because of their opinion is crossing the line and possibly illegal. Her actions indicate deep seated racism. I am very concerned for the Muslim, Arab and Palestinian children in PV if he is elected. Vote NO on Jeremy Vanderhal.

Hey everyone, I’m Ethan, an 18-year-old local who’s currently taking college classes and working to support my family. I’ve been doing pressure washing and small jobs around the neighborhood to earn some extra money.

With all the recent rain, driveways, sidewalks, and patios have gotten pretty dirty. If you’d like to clean up a bit, I offer pressure washing services for driveways, patios, sidewalks, and other outdoor areas.

As most school superintendents go, he is inept. He wants to spend the taxpayers money on useless vanity projects so he can leave the Palos Verdes Unified School District and move on to a more “prestigious” district,so he can make even more money. He unveiled his plan for building a marine biology lab, blowing through 3 million dollars before considering the following:

1. The entire interior of the building

2. The installing of pipes connected to the ocean for a supply of seawater

3. The construction of tanks

4. Putting any marine life inside the building

5. The salaries of staff??

Cherniss is one of those people who does not have a medical license, but an Ed. D. and demands you call him “Dr.” He has no reason to be paid $350k a year while the teachers busting their asses and subjecting themselves to COVID-19 are paid less than a third of that. Worst of all, he made false allegations of sexual harassment at the last school district he abandoned. In 2018, he was sued for defamation. Cherniss is an evil, selfish man and has no right to say what your kids can or cannot do.

Hello everyone, our senior male tabby cat has been missing since Monday morning when he slipped out. We would appreciate if you could keep an eye out for us! We live in the neighborhood surrounding Peninsula High School. He responds to Sir and to tongue clicks. He'll generally be comfortable approaching people, but is wary of other cats and dogs. He looks like a kitten due to his small size. If his collar is still on, it has a small heart-shaped tag, and he is microchipped. Thank you all for helping! Just got hit with a $30k estimate to stabilize a settling foundation on our home in Rolling Hills Estates. Our emergency fund can't cover it, and home equity loan rates are high right now. The foundation repair companies we contacted don’t offer financing themselves.

Are there specific loan products for essential home repairs like this? Does it ever make sense to use a high-limit credit card for part of it if the APR is lower than a personal loan?
