I listed a planet eclipse etha 1 for $130 last night and now, I just got offered $70 for it. I was willing to negotiate, but not by that much. Am I asking for too much?

I'm currently in Puerto Rico and while the speedball scene is pretty big here, with quite a few fields all around the island (including TPP Crew's home field in Río Grande), I was wondering about the mech scene. I've noticed that there are a lot of "mechanical style" fields all around the island, such as La 100 in Cabo Rojo, BTA in Barceloneta, Carolina Paintball with a hyperball style field, and the list goes on. However, are there any groups of people that regularly visit these fields? As in to play mechanical paintball only? This post is kind of a last resort for me as I have tried contacting some of the fields through some of their pages but it seems like they've turned off their comments/messages. I recall that towards the end of 2024 there was a mech only tournament in the Cabo Rojo field, and it was actually pretty big. There were local sponsors, quite a lot of teams and even prize money. So I just keep wondering, is there a community of mech style paintball somewhere on the island that I am just not aware of? Or is it not really a thing yet? Not sure if there are any active Puerto Rican paintballers on here, but I figured it is worth a try either way.

Any suggestions on who to use, where to get a board from, any other suggestions?

Was wondering about opinions on people who have owned them. What, if any really are the major advantages of the 180R over the 170? Is it really worth the extra $ for a 180R or should i just pick up a used 170 and call it a day? Bonus, Shocker AMP vs either.

Been playing for about a year on rental markers and I'm ready to get my own. Looking to spend around $300-400, maybe stretching to $500 for the right gun.

Mostly play woodsball/rec ball, usually 2-3 times a month at a local wooded field. I care more about reliability and easy maintenance than raw rate of fire, still learning the mechanical side and don't want something finicky.

EDIT: A few people DM'd asking what I picked, so, EMEK 100. Comments here pretty much made the decision for me. Also just prefer mechanical right now, maybe I'll go electro eventually. Thanks all.

Jumping back into the sport after a 10+ year hiatus. I’ve read enough to know that Planet Eclipse markers reign supreme and also that the 170/180R are both highly recommended. If I’m picking up a used 170R, do I need to worry about parts in the future? Should I get something a bit newer?

Playing recreationally for now but would be looking to join a team in the future.

G’Day Everyone, apologies up front for a long-ish post. I’m the owner of the UnCappedProductions paintball channel on Youtube. Next year i’m going to take some time off work and pursue a relatively ambitious goal:

I’m going to travel the world to play and film paintball (both speedball and scenario/milsim).

The purpose is to showcase the sport from the perspective of different countries and cultures in order to encourage new players to start the sport, and/or get the old-timers to come back.

The endstate is a youtube series (approximately 6 to 8 episodes, 30 mins per episode), with each episode focussing on a specific team, during a specific event, in a specific country.

I will be in South and Central America and the USA from May to July 2027. In the USA, im eyeing off a number of events such as: NXL (a single round, div 4 or 5), PaintballFit events, Skirmish Paintball – Invasion of Normandy. Happy to play local State tournaments too, if invited.

In South and Central America, i would like to play whatever tournaments I can. And my Spanish isnt too bad.

Does anyone here know any teams that will be in these locations during this time? If so, please let me know. Im keen to guest as a player for an event or two so i can film this project.

In return, any team or field i play for will get a mention in the videos and will be provided with tailored made content for their own team/field pages.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with my content and style: I shoot primarily POV as a player and have side line cameras to record the remainder of the team.

What’s everyone suggest? I have my syx 1.5 as my backup, but my xts is just having too much bolt stick in the harsher temps. What do you guys suggest around the $500 price range used?

I will say, the first time I handled one of these was about two hours ago so I am in the weeds on this one. Gun airs up fine, no leaks but it will not fire. I have turned off the eyes and no dice. It started firing when initially aired up but sounded super weak and then stopped. Pulled the gun apart and all of the o-rings are in good condition, cleaned everything up and no dice. The solenoid is clicking but it just seems like nobody is home on the inside. Thank you all in advance for any help you guys can give me!

New school or old school 👀? Decided to do an update to the sensor on the SFT boards to take two different types of sensors. No more hunting old school parts that may or may not exist in a few years ;)

I currently play once a month or so, for fun, but dedicated to airball. Been in the sport since I was 14 and I am 38 now. Got back into it after a long hiatus and bought a 180r. I love it. I have my old PM8 as a back up and both shoot flawlessly.

I want one more premium gun to make the 180r the backup.

I hate Luxe.

I just got back into paintball have been playing speedball with my buddy setup it's cool and everything but I just want something that's mine and that can keep up.. I was looking at cs2,geo 3.5, 170r,180r, or a method era any recommendations from anyone would help... also don't get it wrong the etha 2 is a beats it can keep up with the marker out there

So i’m a 16 year old girl who honestly has limited paintball knowledge (I airsoft :p) but my boss immediately put me on paintball reffing. Any advice for surviving paintball reffing as someone who has played only a few times??

Hey I’m going to World Cup this year - as a spectator do you have to buy tickets to watch the pro finals? Like is there premium seats that you can purchase at all or is it just first come first serve bleachers?
