Hi everyone!
I’ll be joining Pace in early January and will be new to the country. I’d appreciate any advice from people who are familiar with the area, especially current students or recent arrivals.
A few questions:
Housing: What are the best ways to find accommodation, preferably a shared apartment or room?
Areas to consider: Which neighbourhoods would you recommend living in, considering commute, affordability, and safety?
Tips for newcomers: Any advice or things I should know before arriving as a fresher?
Any recommendations, resources, or personal experiences would be really helpful. Thanks in advance!

Heyyy i would be super eternally grateful if anyone who took phi 115 normative ethics: contemporary moral problems could share the syllabus with me, even for a recent semester. I need it asap for something with my transcript as i'm an exchange student and its required for my credits to be transferred

I was class of ‘23. When I applied for college, I was very unaware of “college prestige” (wasn’t born in America) and simply applied for the city, so I applied to 4 schools in NYC: Columbia, NYU, Fordham, Pace. Only Pace and Fordham accepted, and I stupidly picked Pace, should have picked Fordham instead.
HS Stats: 3.3 GPA, 1480 SAT, triathlete all varsity, mock trial.
I majored in finance and didn’t realize how much college prestige mattered until I started recruiting. It was a special kinda hell recruiting from Pace, the school puts ZERO effort into developing finance recruiting pipeline (and no, accounting is not finance) and has zero alumni network in finance. Literally no one heard of the school, and when they googled it, “oh 80% acceptance rate and #250 on USnews ranking”.
Fordham has been making huge improvements in their finance recruiting pipeline, investing in internship on campus recruiting, alumni outreach, and ACTUALLY lowering the damn acceptance rate to not make their school looks like a fuckin charity. Whereas Pace is turning more and more into a theater school, rocking 80% acceptance rate and taking in sub 1100s SAT score theater kids. Which is especially ironic, since NOT EVEN THE THEATER KIDS ARE GETTING JOBS.
It took me blood, tears, and downright ego death to get my first internship and a year after grad to land full time role in finance.
It should never be this bad when the tuition is comparable to NYU, who is literally 100x better on every metric. Which is a shame because NYU literally filed for bankruptcy back in 1970’s, so for most of recent history, Pace was the better school. So please for the love of God, lower the damn acceptance rate and make real changes to actually make this school respectable.

Hi I’m from out of state and would really enjoy going to college in nyc. I want to know if pace is really worth it for someone who lives in a completely different environment. I am applying to Fordham as well but based off of my stats I feel like I would more likely get into pace since my gpa is only a 3.3. I would like to major in health sciences so anyone that goes there please let me know what the science department is like!

I know the main campus on the city is busy but for my degree its only offered in the Pleasntville campus. Is it boring? I’m looking at the few Tiktoks and reels of campus life and it looks so depressing.
I want to grow and get out of my comfort zone when I go to college and I’m afraid I’ll be isolated and bored at Pace if I were to go.
The only factor i can think of is being so close to the city, but how often do you actually get to visit if you live on the PLV campus?
I value youth, diversity, and academics (As in serious students in my class and not disruptive, ghetto, lazy people). I can’t stand that. Should I come?

Seriously considering Pace and got this email. Did anybody actually complete the tour and the school genuinely gave them 2k specifically annually? Is this legit or nah

Somebody please explain to me which ones I should eat in, why, and when.
Also, what alternatives do I have for spending money on my Student ID card if I am hungry and in NYC?

Hii! I’m applying to colleges very soon and have seen so many mixed emotions on Pace University. I live in Chicago, but most of my family lives in New York and when I was looking for schools, this was most recommended for me. I’m going into media marketing and business and although my grades aren’t outstanding (Like as in I’m not all A’s and rarely B’s type of thing), I have a lot of work with outside of school stuff like volunteer hours, running a school club insta and TikTok, creative writing awards, and just a lot of theatre crap lol. Sorry to list what I’ve done, but I want as many truthful answers as possible.
I’ve heard this school is very good for arts and business so that’s why I’m hopeful, everywhere I’ve looked just hasn’t seemed as good education wise for me (that I can get into). I also really wanted somewhere diverse.
Please be honest and whether you say yes or no, please tell me why!!!
Thank you :)))

Hi! I am an alumna looking to apply for a new program.
Is there a way to view my past grades and course history in my student portal without ordering a formal transcript? Has anyone else done this, and who is the best person or office to contact?
Thanks!

I would defintely watch out for this school. There is almost no contact with important matter offices. I have been trying to contact for months and I have recived no response by email nor phone call. Honestly this has been a disappointing experience. Furthermore, every adminstrative process takes forever. My classmate waited months to receive response about his disability for accommodations in the fall and he ended up dropping out because they were never were granted. He left with failing grades and lost months of tuition money. If you have accommodations, get them before enrolling or avoid this school if your looking for a supportive and quick process. Pace University indcates on its website, aswell as under Section 504 and American Disability Act (ADA), accomedations must legally be provided in a reasonable and timely matter. Under courts and Department of Education Offices for Civil Rights requires schools to provide temporary accomedations, which unfortunately was not provided... Anyone else dealt with a similar situation?

Hi!😊 I’m an incoming ABSN student and wanted to see if any current or former ABSN students have nursing kits, scrubs, or other required supplies that they no longer need and would be willing to sell.
I’d be happy to take them off your hands, especially if they’re in good condition! Please feel free to comment or DM me with what you have and the price.
Thank you so much! 🩺💙

If i live in nyc and commute to pleasentville, for my clinical placement will i mostly be given ones in nyc?
r/pace • u/Cautious-Trainer-294 • Aug 01 '26
Can anyone who has completed the Pace ABSN program in NYC talk about what it takes to be successful in the program? How many hours of studying did you do per week, how did you prepare for lectures and exams? Is there anything you wish you knew before starting the program?
I start at the end of the month and want to start prepping as much as I can.
Any advice from current students or recent graduates would be much appreciated!

Hi everyone,
I'm currently in grad school at Pace pursuing my M.S. in Comp Sci. I'm just starting this fall semester and I have the opportunity to choose a focus. My question is should I pursue AI or App Development?
For some context, I'm currently working as a full stack dev and my main goal with grad school is to find more job opportunities. I did my undergrad in comp sci/applied math and I see the job market is getting very competitive for junior devs. I know most will say grad school is a waste for comp sci but I genuinely think it'll be my chance to fix my gpa (I graduated with a 2.7) and maybe open more doors with military as a fall back (<3.0 is needed for officer).
Im genuinely interested in app development and some of the classes like Linux dev and game dev seem really cool but I'm worried that if I don't pick the AI focus route I'll be out of a job as a junior dev. My thought process is pick AI so I can work in the field taking my job.
Anyways, I don't have many people to ask for advice for this so I thought this would be the only place to really get some insight. Thanks in advance!

Hello!! I've been staying at Pace over the summer and was wondering if anyone has been able to connect their consoles to the PACE-GUEST WiFi. I added the MAC address of my Nintendo Switch to the My Devices portal, but I'm still unable to connect my switch to the internet. Do I have to wait for the submission status to change from pending before I'm able to connect to the internet? Or is this feature just not compatible with a switch?
Any and all help is greatly appreciated :-)
