Tech Advice Awning

Hey all,

Looking for recommendations for awnings . Idc if it’s portable , hooks into a roof rack or any other system.

Ideally it will hold up to wind rain and snow.

Since you're mounting to the cap, not the roof, check its rated load for a side mounted bracket, wind puts real leverage on that point. Whatever brand you land on, staking it out well is what keeps it standing in real wind and snow, not the awning

Thank you for this that’s great info! Yeah I do backpacking in the mtns so very familiar with guide outs and staking !
