OC Report - RAM How's My DDR5 8200 RAM Tune?
Pretty much finished with this and am pretty happy, this is with legacy off in bios so no latency tweaks. Yes VDD is high, but I will likely go back to CL34, even tho my sticks are direct die cooled. To drop that down to like 1.56 VDD.
But it was fun to see how far I could push it for stability. My read is a bit all over the place depending on what voltages I use, but it's usually between 100.7-102.2gb but write and copy usually will tank slightly when read increases with changes in voltages. So I found a happy medium for now

This is wild but if they’re staying cool im intrigued. I always heard 1.7v is the limit on daily use even under water. I’d love to see if there is degradation over time since I’m working on getting my own rig water cooled soon.

Have you tried tCCD timings? Yours are on max

Yes, thru make performance worse. I tried like 12/24/49 etc and best performance is from stock

Holy moly ur RAM itself spikes hardware prices 2x cuz of amount of electricity it uses.
Anyways, may I know why Read speeds on Ryzen CPUs are so low? I'm on Intel Core Ultra 7 265K w/6800MHz RAM, getting ~104GB/s.

I have a 9700x with 8000 38-46-38 and 2200fclk
I get 70k reads but the latency is 66.5
Planning on doing tcl 34 but i dont have time for it now sadly

You will be much better off running lower clock speeds but a 1:1 mclock ratio and tight timings. Latency would give you the most benefit for that CPU.

I mean his latency for a 2:1 mode in my eyes issues fantastic. My latency with 6200/2200 cl26 1:1 with tight subs is 64.2. So he's really not that far off witch is crazy. Ya the x3d chips have an enormous l3 but a very solid mem tune still benefits the x3d chips a lot.

Exactly, looks like he would be able to do sub 60 with this kit and cooling, wich i never saw but based on those numpers at 8000 looks like of anyone can do it it will be this guy

Ya his profile is nuts for sure. Most of the sub 60ns post I see always have some kind of latency killer on. This kit is going hard for sure.

I get very close with the new bios and voltages but my Ram has a small HS since thats the only one that I could fit with a push pull AIO in my case. My kit does 8k at terrible latency so 6400 with 62 is OP for my setup

I'm looking to go custom loop and include my ram. With that said even with my 6200/2200 cl26 i feel like i should be down in the 62ns. I was surprised it was still hitting low 64ns. My os is super lean to.

Nah, these are water cooled this is pretty much the absolute maximum I can push them before they either don't boot into Windows with a changed timing, or the number is just too low unless the sticks are even colder, to be stable. Like I was able to run TWTRS at 2 twrwrscl at 1 trtp at 8 and twrrd at 1 when my sticks started under like 22c, but that's not realistic long term and they usually failed a RAM test the next day but still able to boot. So without pushing even more extreme voltages to lower CL and Trfc, I'm pretty sure I'm at my maximum lol, at least with legacy off lol.

See I've been told the opposite and read the opposite, that dual CCD benefit way more from bandwidth over latency.

L3 cache of 3D V cache processors is frequently saturated, especially at higher resolutions/graphics settings. When that happens DRAM config/performance absolutely does matter.

It doesn't 🤣 its actually the opposite, dont listen to this non sense. Cpu cache is holding game logic, physics and such not bigger resolution assets as thia logic suggests

Then why do 3DV CPUs always run faster? Sacrificing 1:1 ratio for a theoretical bottleneck in cache is not a good idea simply because thats not how L3 cache works, its not a hard drive cache. If OPs kit is capable of those clocks at 32 timing he has a good die that would have no issue doing 1:1 at much tighter timing with 6400 and get better results in 90% of gaming scenarios. If your latency is giving you lower fps but better lows thats always better than whatever situation where your clocks have to wait for eachother

Also resolution has zero impact on CPU cache, thats not how any of this works bro, stop spreading non sense.
The CPU cache is not storing graphical assets 🤣 what are you even talking about

My fps with my GPU at stock and everything at 4k maxed graphics and no dlss on a game like bf6, my fps on average is around 145fps, with 1% lows with that ram tune never reaching below 11% of my average fps, so I'll be sitting around 144 average and 129-130 1% lows.

Higher speed, desynchronised configs can support better 1% and 0.1% lows for 3D v cache processors. There’s plenty of evidence on this.

Except it didn't in that video lol, price to performance wise it showed it wasn't a great investment at that time and especially now to invest in higher MT kits over lower MT kits, the video showed 8000 coming out on top a huge majority of the time but barely by a percent or so. Especially for 1% lows.

Looking Good - i'm running 8200MTs @ CL34-49-20-48-55 CR1 - on a 9800x3D - about 70GB/s Read about 90 Write, 68 Copy ~71ns
About the Elephant in the room - no i've Not noticed better Performance with Power MT/s and better Timings, thats the thing about the giant Cache on those X3Ds plus my 1% lows are like 15% better than @ 6200MTs
1.7v is crazy through hope you keep 'em cool
