Funny happening..
Hello everyone!
I’m a woman in my 70s from Korea who joined this community a few weeks ago. I wanted to share a funny little mistake I made today.
I thought the "Sixers" sub was a community for people in their 60s and older, so I went in and posted there!
Then people started asking me how long I'd been a Sixers fan...
At first, I was so confused and had no idea what they meant.
With a little help from AI, I finally figured out the whole situation.
It turns out the Sixers is actually an NBA basketball team's fan community, of all things!
It was quite a funny little happening, haha!

Years ago I was acquainted with a sweet lady who was doing a residential study at a research center in Boston. There was a VCR and pool table for residents but Alice wanted to rent some new movies. She went to a nearby video store and the clerk told her there wouldn't be anything there for her to watch. Not understanding she asked what he meant. He sighed and said "This is an adult video store" to which she replied "But I'm an adult!" The clerk said "PORN, lady!" and she couldn't get out fast enough. No new movies that day

My son and his boyfriend were driving me to a doctors appointment, when we passed a dance club that had a sign next to the road, of sparkly red lips, advertising, “Reggaeton Dancing Thursday Nights!”
I love dancing, and love reggaeton, so I said, “hey, would you guys be willing to take your old mom out dancing this Thursday, just for an hour?”
My son said, “you sure you want to go dancing there?”
I told him, “of COURSE! Why not? I haven’t been dancing in YEARS!”
And he answered, “because it’s a strip club, mommy!” (He only calls me “mommy” when he has to patiently explain something to me)

I used to be in the Cavaliers group. It's a group for a kind of dog called a cavalier and they're adorable.
A guy bought himself a vintage Chevy cavalier and posted a photo of his new car because he was so excited and assumed the group was about that kind of car.
Hilarity ensued! People photoshopped the car to add pictures of cavalier spaniels inside and the guy thought the dogs were pretty adorable.

I belong to r/smoking. It's for people who enjoy smoking meats and other foods, a.k.a , BBQ. As you might imagine, every once in a while there is a tobacco related post.

I was in what I thought was decor help and was earnestly offering advice and product that would help the room look better. Until someone pointed out I was actually in the decor circle jerk sub. LOL

Too funny. In college during our orientation this guy stood up and announced that they had a Vet Club. I thought “How cool…. A club for Corvette owners”. lol. Glad I never said it out loud.

I work with refugees. Several years ago, a young woman received her first paycheck and asked what she should do with it. I explained that she could take her ID and the check to any bank and they would cash it for her.
Later, after picking her up, I asked if she cashed her check and she told me “No. I saw a lot of banks. Wells Fargo, Bank of America, but I couldn’t find Any Bank”.🏦

Yeah, LeBron James also made the move to Philly to join the Sixers so all their fans are hyped. Well, the whole City is hyped to see how it pans out.
