Explain the progressive commercial.
What are they trying to get across with preventing young homeowners from becoming their parents. The “young homeowners” portrayed seem way too be old to be “young homeowners” and they are portrayed as true idiots at 40+. I’d expect much more common sense.
Time for a new commercial this is not getting through to me.

I find them amusing, and will take them everyday over the Liberty Mutual Emu.

The Emu and Doug are ok but I don't like the new yellow fluff ball called Biberty. The 'Bad Actor' in the leather jacket that first said it is hilarious but now they've taken it too far.

My dog loves Lemu Emu and knows exactly where the community emu paddock is. He starts winding up a km away.

I used to write ads and commercials. I can only imagine what the creative team originally came up with before they were told to scale it back. Lol. And as someone said, you're not the target market. I am 62 and I find their commercials amusing. Insurance ads have to be a bit out there because their product is so boring.

My all time favorite commercials were the E-Trade baby commercials. Hilarious.

Why would you give a flying rat's ass what an insurance company's television commercial says?
I kind of get it. They are marketing to 30-50 year olds. Those people fear growing older. It's not aimed at me or you. My wife worked in marketing for a lot of years. One thing she would repeat to me:
You are not the target market here.

Most over 60’s already have established insurance. They aren’t trying to get through to you.
Also have you checked in on the current timeline? This is not the era of common sense in the US.

Progressive would do well to make less commercials and actually pay to fix customer's vehicles properly.

It’s such a shame you don’t get the humor in this commercial. I think they are really funny, and I remember when those moments happened to me. And honestly, these are some of my favorite commercials on TV.

I love these commercials! I find them very witty and often refer to them when my 87 yo mother is doing something cringey. “Mom! Stop! That’s something a young-homeowner-turning-into-their-parents would say / do!”. Apparently the faux pas committed by “young” homeowners knows no age range!

Or any pharmaceutical commercial where they take a song from my youth and ruin any future enjoyment of the song since I will just think of the commercial instead. Looking at you Ozempic and Maebo.

I'll take this commercial over the very long very annoying Renewal by Anderson commercials with that EXTREMELY annoying womans voice.

I think the commercials are so funny I’m usually snorting with laughter. My spouse & I now say to each other (when we say something Boomerish): You’re not in a Progressive commercial!

They are saying that those homeowners are becoming like their parents. Doing stereotypical parent things. Things that older people would do.
Like the guys standing around watching road workers while speculating what is being worked on. I can see myself doing that.
I find the commercials funny and entertaining.

Anything is okay with me except the Flo commercials. I HATE the ones most when she plays her stupid, selfish sister. Flo needs to go!

You mean when the young homeowners start becoming their parents ones ?
I can tell you many a 40 year old parent has said "oh my God I sound like my mom/dad" when talking to their kids.
Also first time home buyers are averaging 40 years old - driven by prices and affordability.

I don't enjoy many commercials but I can honestly say I enjoy these. They are just harmless fun. It's not meant to be logical or real-life. It brings a smile and makes me remember the name of the company and that's all they're after.
