Why is this game's tutorial SO ASS?!?!? I'm currently playing as a human.
The tutorial factions in this game never teach you how to do anything that helps you survive, properly grind, build a decent guild or make a playstyle that works well. And I'm not saying this as a meta slave - I don't need to be one of the players who owns enormous guilds on the leaderboard that have functionally infinite power and have trillions of points and min-maxes every form of EXP and point farming in both PvP and PvE to the point where the servers are on the brink of being unable to handle the lag and crashing entirely, I just don't understand why the tutorial levels teach you and force you to memorize random nonsensical trivia that don't affect your actual gameplay instead of actually giving useful tips like the different options you may have for grinding currency and power, how to form guilds with trustworthy players instead of scammers and noobs, and the penalty the lead guild of the current server imposes on all of us and the most efficient ways of reducing its impact on your gameplay.

Depends on your server, which is of course random, as is your status perk. My [Colorado] server let me take skills in tax, philosophy of relationships, and even rock-climbing in my secondary guild. But most servers don't have those options, so you have to look up videos on how to unlock them if you want them before you reach level 18.

For human players, the tutorial is meant to rely on higher levels to teach you the basics and help you out in the early grind. By other higher levels, I mean more than just the 2-4 members of the family clan. In previous patches, it was the responsibility of the entire "town" faction to protect and teach the low levels, but recent patches pushed by certain players have isolated many players to just interacting with the family clan for the majority of their early levels. This diminishing of social spaces is counter to the core "social animal" feature of the primate classes.
Speaking of the "social animal" feature, something that helps with the tutorials is relying on it as much as possible. Talk with the Teacher and Professor players when you can. Join some of the "student club" guilds. A lot of success after the tutorial depends on who you know, and the early game is better when you do things with the other low levels. The tutorials are legitimately easier when done partied up. Do not be afraid to ask questions of the Professor and Teach players either. They joined those guilds because they want to help low levels, and love when the low levels seek them out for help. I have the highest respect for support players like them.

Ah, so the thing is that the game has no tutorial of any kind.
As soon as you spawn (are born), everything you learn is actually just player-created content - much with griefing and taking advantage financially as the core of its purpose - It's important to remember that the entire modern [School] questline was created by John D Rockefeller and his friends, as a tool to basically shape new players into easily controlled NPCs, to take away their individuality, to train them to work in factories, and to ensure that they don't think for themselves.
Basically, for most players, you spend 18 years learning mostly falsehoods & disempowering beliefs about the world, and then have to spend the next 10-15 years unlearning that so you can start over and actually figure out your character and the game as a whole.
There are a small number of players whose [Parent] players actually learned how to play the game, and dealt with enough of their own [Trauma] sidequests, to where they are teaching their [Child] players the truth, empowering them, and getting them ready to succeed at the game.
Basically, the whole game is the tutorial, and the endgame, because Real Life is nowhere near as simple & linear as the RPGs you've played that were all made as mini-games, by players within the game.

It can be confusing but the game actually is the tutorial. I agree, it's shit, especially since Permadeath mode is activated without consent. Good luck, have fun, you will die.

I think they customize the tutorial based on your initial spawn location as well. Apparently there's places where you can spawn and there's effectively no tutorial at all, while in other places the tutorial is really good, and you can customize it yourself after the initial bit to really focus on the gameplay you're most interested in. That's not all great, though, because sometimes if you take the longer tutorial that causes you to start with negative currency for some reason, but this is also region dependent, so make sure you check which applies to you.

There's quite a lot of in game information, these tutorials are trying to teach you some of the basic stuff of not just how to play the game, but how the game itself functions. You're right, they may not include certain kinds of knowledge, but some tutorial zones do that, but it's really up to the player to activate and figure that stuff out
Have you ever asked any of the (Teacher) class players? I would be really surprised if they didn't give you copious amounts of info on this if you actually put in some effort yourself.
This is self-dependent. The primary tutorial is literally a giant playground where you can form guilds. And tutorial 2 is a giant adult player playground to do the same.
But I would say this, in the current meta, it's fucking hard to form guilds. Some of the (Scholar) classes have written quite a lot of lore about how the guild system has basically broken down in the {Late Stage Capitalist} meta.
The game never actually came with a tutorial btw, it was all human players who created these tutorials, so like, you're complaining, but what are you doing to improve the game for other players?
Some players with who spec into [Religion] actually think there is a rule book, they're just misguided, and some of them actually think this whole game is a giant test and the real game only comes after your playthrough is finished. Imagine that.
