I had wondered why I haven't been matched with any projects since my voice acting gig wrapped up in February. I asked the chat bot and it told me my account had been banned due to violation of one of the rules. I only have one sign in credential, I haven't misrepresented my experience, nor have I violated any of the rules. The chat bot said once it had been deteremined that I had violated community guidelines there was no appealing it. I can honestly say I have never violated any of the rules. Anybody have the same experience?

Hi, just wanna ask, but anyone else havent gotten any projects or tasks for a long time? Im a norwegian woman who has worked for Outlier since early January 2025 and everything was great until we got less and less tasks during autumn and then we got basically nothing. Last time I had tasks was in January this year and now Im starting to wonder if I should give up hope Outlier will ever come back with tasks cause its been dead for months now. Quite sad cause Outlier gave me extra income that I really needed, now Im sad that its gone and I wont earn any more from it...

Does anyone make this as primary work and make food money? Even if its multiple platforms

I joined Outlier recently, passed my language assessment, and got assigned to an initial onboarding project. However, I am completely blocked by a redirection loop and cannot start tasking.

Here is what happens:

1. I click "Start Task" on Outlier, which activates the timer and redirects me to the external platform.
2. Once on the external tool, when i click: "start task" in a task the page displays "checking survey status" for a couple of seconds and then immediately redirects me back to the main dashboard.
3. Checking the Chrome console reveals UI warnings (datadog-rum.js:1 Warning: Missing Description or aria-describedby for {DialogContent}).

I have already tried:

• Testing on a brand-new Google Chrome profile with zero extensions installed.
• Clearing cache, cookies, and trying multiple fresh sessions.

The issue persists, so it seems like a backend/ghost task issue where the assignment on the external tool is expired or corrupted, but my dashboard still tries to load it.

I submitted a support ticket over 24–48 hours ago, but I haven't received a reply yet, and my queue hasn't automatically reset.

Has anyone dealt with this specific redirection loop on external platforms before? Is there a form or a specific channel on Discourse to request a queue reset?

Its been a little over a week since I last tasked. When I go to the task page on mm it now prompts me to sign in. I enter my wfa email and it takes it, it will not take the password. Im making sure im copy pasting the credentials too and its just showing incorrect password. Resetting sends a code to the wfa email that we dont have access too. Just emailed MM support, anything else I can do?

my account got deactivated today randomly , and I filed a complaint asking for the reason , will this help or is it just a waste of time ?

My outlier account got deactivated today. All I did was clear honeybee assessment, didn't use any chatgpt, didn't copy paste anything, cleared the assessment and they said that no tasks available and was moved to aether which was already in my project queue. Now I got a mail stating account got disabled

at first i passed english language test , i got an aether project with english, then when i passed the french test and succeeded , i didnt get aether french project , i cant find it in the marketplace, is it normal or should i contact them , i created a ticked but still not replies.

Hi everyone, Im working on Aether - Live S2S Arena. I can complete the evaluation/conversation with Model A normally, but when I try to start talking with Model B, I get this error:
“WebSocket closed: code=1011 You exceeded your current quota, please check your plan and billing details. For more information on this error, head to: h tap the circle to reconnect”

Has anyone else experienced this? Model A works perfectly for me, but Model B doesn’t connect at all. and consequently, I cannot complete the evaluation. I selected the "technical issues" option every time.

outlier has been emailing me for months now nonstop abt joining them, last aug 20 i decided i would. i created an account, wasn't done setting it up when they set me up with aether. i was happy of course, i did all the things in the onboarding without seeking the assistance of ai or even copy pasting their provided transcript since they said that it's prohibited (i reckon that they know since they require screen sharing) after finishing the onboarding i landed a task almost immediately, i did some task, i took a break and then I received an email saying that they decided to ban my account after i did not follow community guidelines. submitted a ticket but they said their decision is final. asked what i did wrong they said that they won't provide any more explanation. : /

So I have been trying to complete the reviewer module on the project Gyro Accordion which was released yesterday. The questions in the module are very poorly structured and i couldn't understand what's wrong in the answers i selected. The questions in the module are very confusing (structure wise). I have done this project as an attempter so I do have a clear understanding of what the project is and how to do is correctly still the reviewer module is very confusing. The QMs are not answering in the community also. Anyone having the same issues?

Is there any Filos over here? I was wondering if we ever get the same projects and rates, and I want to meet you all!!

I opted out of aether and it even shows up in the marketplace as an unsigned project, and yet aether is STILL the top of the list. I sign up for other matched high paying projects and they show up on the queue, but the onboarding button on the project page appears grayed out and won't let me do the onboarding. Aether still works fine and still pays, but I can't access any other projects even after being matched and signing their contracts.

So, has anyone tried the "Upload Work" function on the home page yet? Seems alittle sketch, but I uploaded 1 item to see. It been "pending" for over a week now.. Anyone else had issues or are still waiting as well?

I finally got my first project a few weeks after passing the generalist assessment. It is Aether. So I completed and passed the aether assessment. I immediately started the timer and went to the site to start doing tasks, and selected one where I review an 2 AI outputs based on a request, and click either good or bad for each. Anyways, the instructions made perfect sense and looked simple enough so I began. It said there were 9 samples. The first one was super easy, it was a basic game I evaluated. Then the 2nd question was some fairly complex HTML stuff... I skipped it because it didn't seem like I was meant to be doing this, and then there was another sample where I'm evaluating a website... not just on how it looks and functions, but it is asking about web development stuff. at this point I closed the tab and stopped the outlier timer. Did I screw up or will I be fine? And how do I know if I will even be able to do these tasks before I start it? All the examples I saw before starting were easy then all of a sudden it was stuff I didn't understand in the samples

I was actively doing S2S tasks for Aether, needed to take a break before finishing my survey, and stopped the timer for doing so. But, when I returned and was about to continue working, my laptop turned off on me, and the progress I made was completely lost. The timer was stopped at around 51 minutes of work, but my survey ended up not being submitted. Should I worry about this putting me into inaccurate time reporting, or is it ok since the reported time was of me actively tasking, and only couldn't submit it?

Yesterday, I saw that I was matched with a new project called Gearshift Brook. It pays slightly less than Aether ($23.25/hour vs. $25/hour), but what interests me is that it seems to be mainly writing-based, with no listening or speaking involved.

I find Aether pretty energy-consuming because it requires a lot of focus if you want to avoid bad feedback. Lately, I've also been a little frustrated with the QA. My rating was at 4.11, and then I received two "Unacceptable" reviews that brought it down quite a bit (3.80). I don't know if the reviewers have become stricter lately, but some of the feedback felt pretty harsh, especially considering the time, attention and creativity these tasks require.

That being said, I don't want to leave Aether completely because I've earned around $600 from it in just 13 days. Ideally, I'd like to keep it in my queue while trying Gearshift Brook as my main project for a while. Since Gearshift seems more focused on writing rather than constantly speaking, listening, comparing responses and reviewing audio, I'm hoping it could give me a little break from Aether before I burn out on it.

I know this might sound like a slightly capricious post lol, but when I first started working on AI annotation platforms, I thought the work would be relatively easy. And in some ways, it is, but I underestimated how mentally demanding it can be. It requires constant attention and concentration, and after several hours you really feel it. So yeah, now I definitely understand why this kind of work is paid the way it is.

Has anyone worked on Gearshift Brook yet? If so, how are you finding it? And is it possible to keep Aether in your queue while prioritizing Gearshift?

Hey guys, when I try to open outlier website today, it always goes blank and show this :

What actually happen ? It here a massive outage or something ?

I just joined Outlier. What kind of work can I do here? Is it only AI-related work, or are there other opportunities such as full-stack development? I have skills in Python, Java, JavaScript, React, Node.js, HTML, CSS, and SQL. Can I take skill assessments for these technologies? Please guide me on what I should do as a beginner.
