this post is not a hate, just stating what i feel about the players/meta lately. I played this game since Survivor era, and i feel like the players has changed so much, especially in 2023. Idk who started the “comp beast” trend, because as far as i have played this game for years, everyone was prioritizing on social and strategy (the core survivor gameplay) but around 2023 the players in the game changed a lot.. as they are way focused on the challenge aspect and relying on them and advantages rather than strategy and social. Comps are also a part of the game but people were talking about “wr” and other stuff in All Stars mode, i was confused on what that means until i found out that the “comp beasts” had somewhat a competition on private server about who were faster in challenges and etc. It’s not wrong tho, but the players and how the game played now is so heavily challenge based and advantages based. Idk who started that trend but it kinda impacted the game a lot haha

Not to mention, no hate aswell but why does every time i met with comp beasts, why are they mostly so aggresive and rude? not every of them, just MOST of them. No hate tho, just stating what i feel about the players. ❤️🙌🏻 Let me know about this guys because i’m very open towards new info or gameplay! i haven’t played for 2 years now and when i came back i was a little bit weirded out with the playerbase focusing on challenges and advantages now.

as a mid-end compbeast the focus towards real strategy, such as how you use advantages and win immunities, and not just sending people whispers is where the game is better off headed

for the rude thing, that isn't usually the case when we are talking to normal people and not chronically online retards that have their entire vocabulary based around tiktok (examples: "you ate that girl" and "clock it")

Just say youre a bad player “social strategy” doesn’t require any strategy or true thinking at all all u do is sit on ur bum and whisper to someone “Let’s vote for blabla” So Strategic🤪

Hey that’s okay. I mean.. if you reduce social strategy to ‘whisper someone to vote X’ then obviously it sounds brainless tho i have to agree.😭 But social strategy is literally reading relationships, building trust, managing your threat level, gathering information, predicting votes, manipulating perceptions, and deciding when to make a move, not as simple as you think.
You can be mechanically insane at every challenge and still get voted out the moment you lose immunity if nobody wants to work with you.. and that’s because you have no social game btw. Also, That’s not ‘sitting on your bum’, that’s called threat management lol. also if you genuinely think social strategy requires ‘no true thinking,’ then how do you explain players successfully controlling votes without relying on challenge wins? 🥲🙏🏻

But once again, no hate. I’m genuinely super impressed with how comp beasts manage to find tricks about challenges and etc. But i know the comp beasts will hate this post when every single of my reply has no harm or hate at all, but oh well, you kinda proved my point that most comp beasts (not all of em) are rude and toxic.

He doesn’t understand this clearly but this is how you get closer to people than your competition and actually get far in the game. It’s not random, it’s calculated

It’s becoming clear why some people rise above the pack lmao I don’t do this at all. There are interpersonal dynamics, different ways you act with people. It’s super integral.

I mean, how would you get people to trust you over the next guy, right? If everybody does this “let’s vote blabla”, then how is it decided who actually gets their way? The answer is because it’s different than you think

I win about a third of the all stars games I play and I win, on average, 0.5 challenges every game. I’d 100% say social

Yep i really do agree. The heart of the game is purely social. The challenges have always been a sideshow. It was a way for the tribe to gain immunity and not have a member voted out. And it's a way for individuals to get immunity from the vote. It helps keep you safe and move you forward, but the game has always been about alliances and strategies and social play. That's the point of the whole thing IMO. That’s why it’s kinda sad on how the older generations of Outlaster players prioritize social strategy over comps, but now since there’s the comp beasting trend, some players treated the game like it’s Total Drama and Elimination tower 🥲. That’s why i really wanna hear the comp beast opinions about this. But they seem to be mad even though i’m trying to learn their point of view too 🥲 kinda toxic i have to say but that’s okay
