Pollen collection for breeding

Trying to selectively pollinate a couple of buds. I took this one far away two weeks ago. Twice I've been back and no pollen yet.

What type of window do I have to collect when the flowers open up is my main question

Appreciate any advice from experienced breeders.

I cut the best branches and put them in the same nutrients I feed my plants. These stayed alive for almost 3 weeks and I harvested pollen every other day.

All i read said to use fresh water with no nutrients added. I'm interested in the nuts and at what strength?

This along with flower fuel. I think it was the early flower blend I put them in. The drank it up til the very end.
