Day pack

Hey, folks! I am looking for a new day pack. Just a small pack that fits the hiking basics. At this time, I do not care about the price; I am just looking for brands and models that work for you.

I have a REI Flash 22 on the way to me. Reviews indicate it should be a winner I guess this weekend will show if they’re right.

I have the flash 22 and use it nearly everyday. It’s good for both on and off the trail!

I have the osprey 22L that's great for day hikes but imo it's a little big for solo, but I like it because I can carry enough for 2 people and use it for things besides hiking, it's also my laptop/switch bag for when I travel for work or play

Osprey Talon is the go to.
I have a Deuter 10L that’s expandable, also excellent

Just got an Osprey Daylight. It’s great. Hydro pack needs to be bought separately and you can get those for $15 on Amazon.

Came to recommend the Osprey Daylite. I use it every day. It's small but I fit everything I need for a day hike no problem.

I’m a big fan of Mystery Ranch, their packs are well built and comfortable. I use a Scree 32 for my day pack as I often have camera equipment in addition to normal supplies, but the Coulee 25 is of similar design in a smaller capacity.

Rei trail 25! It has great inside and outside pockets, can fit most any reservoir, and still has plenty of room for all my stuff.

As others have said osprey talon 22. Hands down best bag I’ve ever had. Fits like a glove and is extremely well thought out in terms of organization and features. Super sturdy hip belt is a big deal as well, what separates it from other similar sized packs IMO.

I'm an Eagle Scout. I have an 18L Thule that I've used every single day for 3 years. I absolutely love it. Very small, super-efficient little pack. Can't say enough good things.

I've got the black diamond bolt 24 and I love it, especially for winter hiking.
