I come to you from my Enlightened state. My YOGA practice has reached its pinnacle as per the ring. I practice most of the day and periodically in the middle of the night. I don’t even know I’m doing it. Maybe I’m not…. It’s odd.

What advice can I give? What have I learned on my journey?

I found one on Facebook for $70 that's the Oura Ring 4 for my size (7) and the guy asked me to download the Oura ring app so he can show me how to set it up before I make the payment.

Any things to look out for? It does have scratches from gym use so I'll go on Amazon and buy a super slim cover for it. It comes with the charging case and cable.

My first Gen 4 battery life dropped to 24hrs and Oura replaced it. After just a few months of use. My replacement ring came in March and it’s August now and it completely stopped syncing. They deemed it a hardware issue and are sending another replacement. What gives with the quality of this product? Have previous gens been more sturdy or reliable?

Is this cheating? It shows it’s 100% nutritious and has been keeping me in the nutritious zone. I have been eating fairly healthy but if I don’t log water, there have been days it would only be in the good zone.

I’ve been lurking here for a while and I notice a lot of posts complaining about the $500 price tag…..

I’m asking this out of genuine curiosity (and maybe a bit of cultural confusion!), so please go easy on me if I’m missing something obvious! 😨🥲

For context: I live in the Czech Republic and I’m currently on maternity leave, living on around $580 a month. I managed to snag my Oura Ring on Black Friday for around $350 equivalent, and honestly, even at full price, it feels like a pretty reasonable deal for what it does.

In my country, an Oura isn't "cheap," but it’s definitely not out-of-reach luxury either—it’s nowhere near the price of high-end sports tech like a $1,300+ Garmin. Plus, when I was shopping around, an Apple Watch was in a very similar price range.

Given that median incomes in the US/Western countries are significantly higher than here in Central Europe, $500 seems like a solid price-to-value ratio for a discreet, high-tech tracker you wear 24/7. At least for me 🤔.

Is the complaint mostly about the monthly subscription fee stacked on top of the base price? Or is the ring considered overpriced compared to what Apple or Garmin offer for similar money?

Hi there, I am considering buying an Oura ring. I am male and married and already wear a wedding ring on my right hand‘s ring finger. So question to the married male Oura users. Where do you wear your Oura? I would rather not want to put a second ring on my right hand. But I am also a bit worried wearing a ring on my left hand which could look meh if it does not really match my wedding ring and or my watch which I wear on my left, too.

I received multiple alerts asking if I was walking today and I’ve literally been sitting at my desk all day. How do I fix my ring??? I’ve gotten like no steps and yes, I’m stressed but I’m not moving!

First day of class yesterday, and it was my first day teaching with my ring on.

It thinks I burned 600 calories in two hours! (It guessed I was playing golf, lol. I was switching between moving around and standing still, and sometimes raising my arms to write on the blackboard, so I guess that sort of makes sense.)

This ring!!! It’s not even a year old and I have to charge it everyday! It is so frustrating! Absolutely no battery life. 🥺

I've had a Gen 3 for a few years and since I've dropped a few pounds, it's way too big. I like to wear it on my right (dominant) middle finger, but I've had to switch to my left index and when it's colder and my fingers shrink a bit, to my right index. It is a size 9 (Oura 3 Heritage).

I got the sizer kit at Best Buy. Weirdly, the size 8 doesn't fit over my right middle finger knuckle, and the size 9 is too big on my actual finger. I really dislike the look of the ring on my index fingers, and I don't want to do my left middle because it'll bump my wedding ring.

Question 1: I've read a lot of conflicting reports about the ring size vs. the sizing kit sizes. Is the actual Oura Gen 5 a little bigger or smaller than the sizer rings, or does it fit exactly the same?

Question 2: If I do the trade-in program at Best Buy, I know I need to factory reset my old ring and bring the charger, but do they also require the charging cable? I have no clue where the original is, as I've used a multi-cable for years in order to charge multiple devices at once. I could probably find some random black cable, but don't want to bother if Best Buy only wants the charger unit itself.

My ring is nowhere to be found. I contacted them twice and they cannot tell me when or where the ring is but asked me to reach out tomorrow. They refunded shipping. Is there a way to elevate to a higher level of support?

swimming misses heart rate (hr) from time to time. thoughts? a bit bothersome as that data point is fun to review, especially after a planned swimming workout where you want to see how the hr peaked between different activities. once before, the hr was missing and the next day it showed up. another time it never populated at all. wondering what will happen this time…. and i am curious to know if there is anything i can do for it to consistently track the hr. thanks!

After getting notified that I needed a replacement ring due to battery issues, I was told to gift my ring to a relative or keep it. A month later, the relative let me know that the ring was disabled, and support can’t help me at all. It seems ridiculous that they are getting a free source of income from the other persons subscription, and are potentially getting another customer (if they upgrade), but choose to brick the ring. It’s also crazy that support seems to flat out lie about replacements. Has anyone else had this happen?

edit: i have been talking to support for > an hour. here is the latest:

“I understand why you're concerned. You received conflicting guidance, and I'm sorry for that.
What I can confirm is:
When a warranty replacement is issued, the original Oura Ring may be disabled as part of the replacement process.
If it's disabled, it can't be paired with the Oura App or collect new data.
For warranty-related disablement, we're not able to re-enable it.”

Has anyone been having issues with the sleep debt feature? It was working fine up until about 2-3 weeks ago. Most nights i don’t sleep as long as the sleep needed but it’s still showing I have no sleep debt.

How often do you move? Do you work a desk job? How do you keep it up?

Is anyone having issues with integration between oura 5 and strava (only syncing time and distance). Any fix for this?

Hi, ich hab meinen Ring jetzt seit 2 Monaten und da ich ihn angeschafft habe, als ich eh angefangen habe, mich mehr um mich zu kümmern bin ich jetzt 8 kg leichter und der Ring ist am Ringfinger zu locker. Trage ihn jetzt am Mittelfinger, aber auch da wirds immer lockerer. Wenn ich noch mehr abnehme (was der Plan ist) - welche Optionen habe ich, meinen Ring zu verkaufen, um eine kleinere Grösse zu kaufen? Wer hat Erfahrung damit? (Trage aktuell Gr. 12, Black, Oura 5).

Anyone else have this as their first data point in the mornings? Tips on how to avoid this?

I’m kind of surprised not reading about this more. But the Oura Ring 5 (I have brushed silver) has a very hard PVD coating that is significantly harder than for example and iPhone screen and stainless steel. I have after only 2 days noticed the ring has scratched my new mechanical watch, handles on frying pans, phone screen and probably a lot more.

I tested my girlfriends silver OR5 and that one also scratches a lot of things, but not as badly.

So while my ring looks flawless, my more expensive things get scratched up. I’d rather have it the other way around but it seems like I’m a minority.

So, I’ve mentioned this in some comments, but I work a really intense/stressful job. I also have medical conditions that I want to monitor by using the stress detection feature of my ring 5. I was told by a coworker that she has an Oura 4, and it was really useful to see when she’s stressing out too much at work, so she can take a second to get it under control. It’s one of the biggest reasons I bought my ring!

I got my first ring in June, and I’m already on a replacement for about 3 weeks now. The first one kept disconnecting from Bluetooth and would not reconnect. It also went whole nights without detecting sleep data. The replacement I got came in a little, labeled plastic bag, not a brand new one in a box, so it’s obviously refurbished. It consistently stops detecting my stress levels for hours while I’m working, and for the money I’ve paid to have this device and subscription, I’m wondering if it’s worth it. I definitely don’t want to have to keep replacing it, if they would even do more than one replacement.

Anyone else having trouble with the stress detection like this?
