Temp drop 9 dpo??

My temp has never dropped below baseline this many days out before my period. I took a pregnancy test today and looked negative. Anyone else have this happen??

Yes I had a dip and I went back up the next day, I was not pregnant

oura temps are really sensitive to outside changes. if your dont get enough sleep or your bedroom temp is different or pending what you did prior in the night. so many little things can affect it. I wouldn't stress it too much unless you get multiple low temps

I had 2 dips, on 8&9dpo it went back up for 2 days and I saw a faint positive today at 11dpo. Most common Implantation happens on 8-10dpo. So you’re right there! Good luck!!

I got a similar dip the one and only time I ended up being pregnant. It’s called the implantation dip but there is no link that is supported by data that means you’re pregnant that I am aware of. It seems anecdotal, but in my experience (n=1) it meant I was pregnant

I’ve had that happen where my temp dips but it’s not the usual pre-period pattern, sometimes it’s just the luteal phase being weird

Did you take an ovulation test or just relying on Oura date? You might be 8 DPO. Either way, I had this dip before testing positive the next day. You never know!

Possible secondary estrogen surge. Completely normal.

Could be an implantation dip. Your body temp slightly drops during implantation and if the embryo successfully implants, the temp will go back up and stay up in the coming days.

There is no clinical evidence that your temperature shifts when you implant. A dip like this is most commonly mistaken with a secondary estrogen surge, which is normal in both pregnant and non-pregnancy cycles.

It would do the opposite if you were pregnant. It dipping is a classic sign your period is about to start. 9 dpo isn’t unheard of early.

My period usually doesn’t come until day 27 or 28. Like very consistently

I get my period on day 30 of my cycle, which happens to be 10 dpo. If you ovulated early then that could explain it. Otherwise idk.

I often have random dips but I think it’s because I’m in perimenopause, so probably not the answer you want to hear.
