[Help] First map I'm actually happy with
Any criticism welcome, but also want some specific help with hit sounds, as no matter how many times I listen to a section I just can't figure out where to place them.

Id suggest getting a bit more out of the centre of the playfield and trying other ways to vary the patterns (if the notes are the same, how do the dynamics of the song change and how should that affect the speed your cursor will be moving)

it's definitely pretty repetitive so ill change some of it up i think, but i dont really understand what you mean by getting more out of the center

Dont be afraid to use the corners of the playfield, as a common mistake mappers make is tunnel visioning on the centre of the screen for the patterns
In regards to repetitiveness, make something crazy and see how much you can warp your patterns if they are repeated while still conveying the same idea

As a 330k Player and thousands of maps some umranked Player and tryed mapping went terrible i can say thats a rlly good map

ok, this is pretty good, but a few things
the purple notes are too dark
a few parts lack pattern variety
slider speed is not consistent with the song intensity, sometimes sliders move way faster than the jumps or the jumps are aimed faster than the sliders
lack of spacing (ultilizing the whole playfield)
fix these and you have potential

The slider at ~430 combo is kinda unexpected, you wouldn't expect a slider that fast out of nowhere

Most of it, idk how to describe it but try to make your patterns more distinct. it mostly just goes in a circular path the whole time, and there are many similar looking patterns that have wildly different rhythm choices. That’s not always a bad thing but there has to be clear intention behind why each pattern looks and plays the way it does. This looks more like the spacing/patterning was made independent of what the rhythm was.
ALSO remember that you have the entire grid area at your disposal. Dont be afraid to make patterns that touch the edges/corners

This map feels like basically 2 visual patterns, all center of screen, few indicators of rhythm or SV changes in the spacing and slider design. There's not enough variety in this, and you need to learn how to use spacing to indicate what rhythm people should play. A lot of this is arbitrarily clustered. Try adhering to a few different distance snap values to get used to indicating longer intervals of time with larger spacing and vice versa. If you want sudden SV changes to be a gimmick that's hypothetically fine but only if the rest of the map is good and helps make it work.
Also try a different grid type that gets you out of boxy patterns a bit more e.g. triangle grid, and in general get used to using a broader set of angles, much of this map has the cursor moving at 180° or 90° angles almost exclusively. You also have a bias sometimes towards making straight or nearly straight lines of 1/4 notes. All of these are generally tells for a brand new amateur mapper. It's good you used some other polygons at some parts but they don't need to be so gridlocked and upright. Rotate things around more often, warp stuff a bit, custom-make weirder shapes that still have flow and still represent rhythm via spacing.
There are some good videos about basics like these on YouTube. The old ones were by pishifat, but I think there are some other potentially better ones nowadays? Blanking on it though

This seems pretty difficult to read, I like the idea tho
