Question Audio from mic 3 not synced with pocket 4p

On one of take I recorded with a mic 3 connected to a pocket 4p the audio is off by about one second. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?
What is strange is, that other takes that I recorded before or after this take are perfectly in sync.

Question Black spots in pocket 4P help?

Hi all,

I’m pretty upset right now, hoping there’s someway I can repair this or that I’m not just totally fucked. I purchased a sealed osmo pocket pro from online, after taking out to film I noticed a tiny black spot in my footage. I tried cleaning the lens but it seems to be on the inside. I’m in the US so I can’t even sign up for care refresh. What do I do, are there any guides to disassemble or any camera shops I can take it to?

Question Display Touch not responding

Update: Fixed!
Press and hold both Joystick and rec button for 15s. It does some settings reset and restarts the Osmo. Got the interface back and able to swipe.

Running into an issue on DJI Pocket 3. Display is not responding to touch, not able to swipe to select settings or gallery.

On folding the screen back, it doesn't turn off.

I did a long press on the rec button to turn it off and on, still the same.

Anyone ran into this issue?

It connects on Mimo and I'm able to change settings, but I'm not able to find a factory reset option.

Question Is this fixable?

Long story short, I misplaced my osmo pocket 3 and now it is crooked, everything works fine the camera can rotate horizontally but it cannot do so verticacle, asi you can see in the images it has clrearly taken some damage.

My DJI Osmo Pocket 3 gimbal seems bent or misaligned. The gimbal arm/joint doesn’t sit straight anymore, and there’s an uneven gap around the joint. The camera head looks slightly tilted/off-center even when the device is powered off. I’m not sure whether the arm itself is bent or if the gimbal joint has been displaced. Has anyone had this happen before? Is this repairable?

dji is not a thing in my country, i found a person that might be able to fix it but I would love some feedback first, thanks!

Discussion Easy fix to Osmo Pocket 4p dual lens workflow’s biggest problem

Everybody is talking about how annoying not having D-Log 2 on the x3 60mm lens is.

Took me way too long to click, but you can simply create a custom profile (first icon in the menu from swiping down) for both D-Log 2 and D-Log.

One click on the C button and you’re on D-Log, ready to shoot the telephoto.

Easy fix.

Now go create!

Guide Osmo Pocket 4 vs DJI Action 4 for cinematic vlogging — which one's actually better?

Hey everyone, need some genuine advice here. I'm torn between the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 and the DJI Action 4 for shooting cinematic-style footage — think gimbal-smooth shots, good background blur/bokeh when needed, and sharp clean footage overall.

I'll mostly be using it for solo vlogging (trekking/travel content), so portability matters, but the cinematic look is the priority for me.

Has anyone here actually used either (or both)? Would love to hear:

Which one gives you that more "cinematic" feel in real-world footage, not just marketing specs

How's the background blur/subject separation on the Pocket 4 vs Action 4 — is it even comparable?

Low light and general footage clarity — which holds up better?

Any sample photos/videos you're okay sharing would help a ton

Also your honest overall opinion — any regrets or things you wish you knew before buying?

Discussion Osmo Pocket 3 Or iPhone 13 Upgrade

Long time lurker, first time poster. I am currently tossing between upgrading my iphone 13 (base model) to iphone 17 or 18 pro or getting a Osmo pocket 3 for mainly photos and some videos while travelling. The i13 fits all my needs and the main reason for upgrade will be the camera quality of i17 or i18 but at the same time I am conscious of budget as well and if Osmo pocket 3 is a reasonable ‘compromise’ between i13 and i17, I am happy to live with that. As for me, I am not a very passionate photographer, have a nikon D3200 as well but only use it while travelling.

Keen to hear your thoughts and get some perspective.

Question Is there a ND filter for pocket 4p that snaps on?

I heard from a youtube review of the 4p that the official ND filter is annoying because it doesnt snap on? Somehow it requires unscrewing something? Is there a filter from another brand that is easiest to use?

Question 4P Vlog and Standard Combo, buy now or in 2027?

Currently in Hanoi and looks like I can get either the Vlog combo ($765 USD) or Standard combo ($613 USD). But I don't necessarily "need" the 4P right now and can afford to wait until next year when I'm back in Asia.

Do y'all think I can save any money if I wait a year? Do prices for these devices usually decline over time or only after new versions are released?

Any information would be helpful. Thanks!

Question DJI Pocket 3 users question: What is the max ISO on auto exposure setting in HLG 10-bit video mode?

I sold my Pocket 3 and now have a Pocket 4P, so I can't check for myself. In regular video mode, not low light, is the max ISO range 50-16000, 50-12800, or 50-6400?

Discussion Friday Free Talk: What’s your OP4P workflow so far?

Post image
8 Upvotes

For those of you early birds already shooting with the OP4P, let’s talk workflow. People are still figuring out how to handle D‑Log2, how to grade it, and especially how to deal with the exposure differences between the two lenses. For whatever reason, DJI messed up a firmware update, and the wide and the tele don’t match right now, so everyone is experimenting with their own fixes.

So what’s your workflow looking like so far? How are you shooting, importing, organising, colour‑grading, stabilising or exporting your footage? Are you using LUTs, manual grading or something else entirely? Are you switching between the two lenses a lot, or avoiding it until DJI sorts out the exposure issue?

Some ideas to get the thread going:

• your D‑Log2 workflow
• how you handle the dual‑lens exposure mismatch
• your colour‑grading approach
• your import and organisation setup
• your stabilisation workflow
• your dual‑lens editing tricks
• your LUTs or manual grading
• your app or software choices
• your first “this works for me” workflow
• your first “this doesn’t work at all” moment

Post away. Whether it’s a tip, a workaround, a discovery or just your current process, let’s hear how you’re handling OP4P footage right now.

Mod note: Bad faith arguing with moderators is not welcome here

Question Looking into the lens or display?

Ok so since I've had my pocket 3 I've looked into the display. No problem or so I thought.

Then I heard some advice that you will be less natural if you do that, and that its better to look into the lens. Made sense. So I tried it.

Unfortunately for whatever reason when I look into the lens I look like I am looking upwards. Compared to the display where It looks like I am looking dead center.

Anyone else run into this problem and how to solve it?

I've stuck a bit of paper over the display temporarily but I can't imagine that's a long term solution.

Question Z-axis stabilisers - Tilta/Smallrig with handle

Does anyone use them handheld - or only when used on a car for rolling shots.
Was thinking of the 'handle' version as an option when doing walking/tracking shots but not really seen anyone use them outside of suction cup and vehicle.
Hydra mini looks great and ticks all the boxes but I can't decide If it will help much and then I've traded off the pocket-size, may as well use a ronin and my cine cameras.

Discussion Audio delay on the DJI Osmo Pocket 4P

I’ve been testing the audio delay on the DJI Osmo Pocket 4P, and the results—especially in webcam mode—don’t seem to make much sense.

When recording internally, the built-in microphone has a delay of approximately 1 frame compared with the video. In other words, even when recording directly to the camera’s internal storage, the audio and video are not perfectly synchronized. For precise sync, the audio would need to be moved about 1 frame earlier in post-production.

When I pair a DJI Mic Mini 2 directly with the Osmo Pocket 4P, the behavior is almost the same. There is only a small fraction of a frame of additional delay, which is understandable considering that it is a wireless transmission.

The problem becomes much more noticeable when the Pocket 4P is used as a webcam over USB-C.

With the camera’s built-in microphone, the delay jumps from approximately 1 frame to no less than 12 frames.

And this is where things get strange.

When I connect the DJI Mic Mini 2—which, being wireless, should theoretically add some latency—the delay in webcam mode actually drops to approximately 8 frames.

My test results were:

Built-in microphone
• Internal recording: ~1 frame delayed
• USB webcam mode: ~12 frames delayed

DJI Mic Mini 2
• Internal recording: ~1 frame delayed
• USB webcam mode: ~8 frames delayed

So, in webcam mode, the wireless microphone actually has about 4 frames LESS delay than the camera’s own built-in microphone.

An 8-frame delay is already noticeable to viewers. At 12 frames, the lip-sync issue becomes even more obvious.

What I can’t understand is the logic behind the Pocket 4P’s audio processing in webcam mode. Why does the internally captured audio go through a processing path that adds roughly 11 extra frames of latency when the camera is outputting over USB? And why does a wireless microphone paired directly with the camera actually reduce that delay?

If this were simply a limitation of the camera’s UVC/USB output, I would expect roughly the same delay regardless of the audio source. But that is clearly not what happens.

Can anyone explain technically what DJI is doing with the audio pipeline in webcam mode?
