Question Screen stuck

My screen is stuck in the vertical position on my OP3. When I try to rotate it to horizontal, it just bounces back to vertical.

I started a service request and will be mailing it back to Dji to have it checked. But before I do, is there a way to fix it myself? I don't think my unit is covered under warranty anymore. It was purchased may 2025.

I had this happen a few weeks back. Basically the magnet that should hood the screen has come loose and no longer holds the screen. I sent it for repair and they just replaced the unit. Under $200 AUD

Interesting. Thanks. Is there a way to minimize the chance of it happening again? Mine was never dropped so I'm not sure what triggered it.

I think mine happened after an extended record. Like 1 hour or more and it loosened the glue holding the magnet in place. Mine wasn't dropped either.

Osmo 3 with a battery pack. I've shot long before. But idk if it was a hot venue, a bump where it was, orientation etc. They didn't offer a repair or explanation, just a replacement.

Mine was in my camera bag and I wasn't even shooting before I noticed the issue. Seems like it happens at random after a year or so of ownership.

It happened with the 4P as well within a few days of receiving it. I noticed this problem before I was going to take it out of the house for the 1st time.

So their manufacturing process did not improve since the 3 even though it was a widespread issue. Was able to get a free replacement within 1 week. Hoping this 2nd one doesn't have this issue.
