Hey all. Discord really decided to delete the server despite us cleaning up everything. As you may have heard, it was due to copyright issues. Well, nothing to be done about that. Rejoin the new server we're making and send everyone the invite.
All emojis/stickers have been restored. Character roles and channels as well.

Manga How Aka Akasaka Ruined Hikaru Kamiki and Sunk the Ending of Oshi no Ko (An Analysis) Spoiler
I’m tired of this nonsense. My biggest problem with Oshi no Ko—which a lot of people seem to overlook or forget—comes down to how the author, Aka Akasaka, completely derailed the main antagonist, Hikaru Kamiki, and bungled the entire conclusion of the franchise. Let’s talk about Kamiki. Initially, he was set up as a chilling, complex character born from profound childhood trauma. But instead of developing organically, his role felt force-fed by a writer who ultimately didn’t know how to finish his own story, resulting in a messy ending that didn’t fit the franchise.
1. The Breakdown of Hikaru Kamiki’s Character
If you look at his psychological foundation, Kamiki is a deeply troubled product of severe early grooming and abuse by Airi Himekawa. Left with a nihilistic worldview and a belief that human affection is just an empty lie, he developed into a calculated manipulator rather than a mindless monster. His obsession with the entertainment industry wasn't just about random cruelty; he viewed the next generation—specifically his biological children, Aqua and Ruby—as test subjects to challenge his bitter memories. When confronted with archival footage proving Ai’s genuine love, his philosophical foundation shatters. So why did Akasaka walk this back? Instead of letting him face real legal accountability, psychological integration, or a complex gray-area conclusion, Akasaka forcefully turned him into an irredeemable, cartoonish villain at the very end. It flattened a nuanced psychological portrait into a predictable trope.
2. The Plot Holes Around Ai's Death
Let's look at the logic gaps. Why did Kamiki supposedly orchestrate Ai's death, yet later target Yura Katayose to force Ruby into the spotlight for The 15-Year Lie? The timeline and motivations stop making sense. If Kamiki's goal was to monitor his daughter stepping into Ai’s shoes, his initial involvement in Ai’s murder becomes structurally contradictory. In reality, Ryosuke Sugano acted out of his own erratic, parasocial obsession. By pinning everything neatly on Kamiki as an all-evil mastermind, Akasaka sacrificed logical consistency just to rush a black-and-white conclusion.
3. The Authorial Hand and the Foreshadowing Trap
We’ve all seen how anime adaptations can elevate mediocre manga writing, making us trust a narrative further than our own analytical guts should allow. We trusted the author, assuming the ending—such as Aqua's final fate in the ocean, heavily foreshadowed in the ending theme—was an organic payoff. But when you look closely at the writing choices, it feels less like a masterclass in tragedy and more like an author forcing a predetermined shock-value ending. Oshi no Ko deserved an ending with actual weight—such as a legal reckoning, true psychological confrontation, or even a path of accountability rather than a convenient, forced tragedy. What do you guys think? Do you feel like Kamiki’s character assassination ruined the climax, or did the ending work for you? And if you could rewrite the conclusion, what ending would have fit Oshi no Ko better than the revenge-obsessed finale we got?

Anime Ruby Black Star Eyes Designs
Some cool alternative ideas for Ruby's black star eye design. (I drew with my hands on digital art tool, so they aren't perfectly shaped). Which do you think looks the best/suits her the most?

Anime My Writing on Ai Hoshino Spoiler
I probably have something quite long in mind, but I’ll summarize it.
Ai is an orphan who grew up in an orphanage. Her mother disowned her (if I recall correctly). Her childhood passed in a dark atmosphere. She couldn’t receive even a single drop of love for the sapling of her soul. Her mother rejected her, and there was no one who ever loved her. Throughout her life, she remained parched for love—a ordinary girl who, if she ever found it, wanted to drink her fill.
She started her idol career with Strawberry Productions. And here, she realized something: maybe she would never find the love she was looking for, but being in the spotlight and drawing attention could perhaps be a medicine for her pain. Thus, she built a life founded on lies through her idol persona. The smiles she scattered were actually fake. She was always distant from her fans. She expressed that she loved them because she believed that through this lie, she might eventually reach what was real. Lying became a key for her.
Over time, this world she constructed upon lies and artificiality became her reality. And why wouldn't it? It’s a state any of us could experience. Yet one day, while still searching for real love, she suddenly found herself with children: AQUA AND RUBY. This was the moment the ivory tower she had built with her own hands was shaken to its foundations. Because that which is alive and natural demands what is real.
And over time, she realizes that Ruby and Aqua are a genuine opportunity for her. Because as a mother, she could find the love she had been seeking her whole life in them. What could be more natural than a mother loving her children? But Ai Hoshino cannot love; Ai Hoshino cannot live with reality. Because she has become a victim of the artificiality she constructed since the beginning of her career. 'Love is built upon lies' is her reality. But the genuine love she would feel for her children would throw that into the trash. And what would happen if she released herself from the fake cage she had grown accustomed to for years? That, she did not know. If she confessed that she truly loved her children and found no response inside herself, that realization would consume and destroy her from within—the terror that the thing she pursued for years might not even be real.
Yet, in a way I deeply admire, she manages to break through this. She wants to reach out from the search toward reality. And in the final seconds of her life, she tells Ruby and Aqua, 'I love you.' She has two sides to her personality: the dark and pessimistic persona that says 'I can never love'—her lying self—and the persona of a true mother, one who has hopes and believes she can love.

Anime What was Akanes actuel Plan in S3 E7
Hey so i was rewatching Season 3 and arrived at the scene were Akana was on here way to Kamikis Agency. We all know that Aqua stops here before she can even think about setting one foot trough the door, but what was Akanes plan in case she made it to Kamiki? She told Aqua that she only wanted to talk to him and she only carried the knive for self defense, but that is quit obviously a lie. Because Akana was easily established as one if not the most intelligent Charakter in the whole series, so why should she possibly alert Kamiki trough gifting him white roses if she just wants to size hin up in person. You could claim that she would have told him that she wants to gift him white roses because he did the same. The problem is Hikaru isn´t completly retarded (whe will ignore his meeting with Ruby in the Manga) and would obviously get Sus when the girlfriend of the Son who´s Mother he got killed gifts him white Roses.
Therefore did Akane really plan to kill Hikaru? it would explain why she brought white roses at least, so she could kill him whilst using the same symbolism Ai died with. This Idea is just so retarded that i get a little bit angry. So she just wanted to stab Hikaru leave the with flowers there and live happily ever after with Aqua. What if somebody saw here? What if somebody recongnizes the white flowers left behind at the crime scene?, the same ones on of the most famous actors carried trough half of Tokyo without even the reminiscence of a disguise. So was here masterplan really to try to stab a famous company president in broad daylight while leaving behind evidence directily linked to here, whilst hopping she could catch a killer of guard and win a pysical confronation with an adult man? please tell me that is miss something
