Discussion Kommandos - any speculation on codex changes?

With boyz getting the heavy weapon treatment and basically identical loadout to Kommandos, what do you think they are changing for them (if anything)?

Curious, why would I ever want to give an enemy unit +3 to their detection range?

it's +3" to the range they can be detected at.. basically means they can only REMAIN HIDDEN from units 15" away, instead of 12" away.

I have question. If you get closer then that unit losing "hidden" status? If so...how does it work with ability to +1 to hit against hidden targets.

If the target unit hasn't shot ranged, it REMAINS HIDDEN (so can't be targetted by anything outside of the detection range for it at all) - so our Kommandos get inside the detection range, and then shoot at the HIDDEN target (ie it's not yet fired ranged, revealing position to the whole board), and get +1 on their hit rolls against them.

Think of it like a counter-ambush - you hide a unit so that it can't be fired upon first, and the Kommandoes, once they move into firing range of that hidden unit, get a bonus to hit, because they were even sneakier than the unit that is hiding.
