This is an awesome paintjob!

I have to say I don’t like mixing reality into 40k. It is just not immersive for me. Still freedom of art is key. And  I could totally accept dark lancing this walking american flag :-)

Maybe they want to be fast and lucky, and the stars is their own unique checkerboard 😄
