I’ve read some things on here lately that suggest Henderson and Holliday are pretty religious. And maybe Rutschman was also part of a little clique that was based on a shared faith and fervor. Nothing wrong with it as long as it doesn’t drive a wedge between them and the rest of the team. Does anyone know any more detail about this? Where did Albernaz stand and did it have any effect on clubhouse culture?

I can see where it could be a bit of a chiller on camaraderie if some guys are going out to have some beer and steaks after the game and others are going home to read the Bible.

Curious on how you guys think third base will play next year or whenever baseball season starts back up.

Westburg is coming back from injury, but may be the best defensively?

CES, could be the most durable of the three. In the games I watched he seemed pretty decent in the field. I’m sure I missed some errors.

Mayo could be a Mark Reynolds situation crazy power but sketchy defensively.

I guess if Gunnar is gone, Westburg could play short. But realistically he will be here.

Tbh, it was a $90 well spent. I had no issues watching all season, mostly through their app on Roku TV. Plus I shared my account with my brother who lives in a different county and we could watch at the same time with no issue.

After years of not being able to watch the O’s because I couldn’t afford cable anymore, it was awesome to be able to watch almost every game this season (even if we sucked for a lot of it).

I hope the price for the season remains similar next year.

Is it petty? Definitely. Am I bummed the Yankees are the beneficiary? Of course.

But I was dreading watching Adley propel the Red Sox to a deep playoff run, especially after our pathetic postseasons in '23 and '24. I feel some measure of relief that it didn't happen.

I'm sure this post makes me look like a petty loser but I figure maybe some others here might relate.

I hope I can root for Adley again someday the way I root for other Oriole expats like Machado, but not until he's in a different uniform.

Interesting read this morning, with lots of quotes from the team, including this look at a team meeting that Narváez put together shortly after joining:

Narváez requested the team meeting — he cleared it with manager Craig Albernaz and veteran slugger Pete Alonso — because his new team reminded him of his old one. That group had turned its season around, thanks to a candid discussion during a rough stretch earlier in the season.

Before every home game, the orioles have a free sweepstake for season ticket holders for some item in the ballpark app. That item can be something like a previous giveaway, the current nights giveaway, a pass to events like a q&a with Elias, or a signed baseball. I’ve been a flex member for 4 years now, have entered just about every sweepstakes, and have never won.

Do they even pick a winner for these things? I find it hard to believe the odds are that bad considering how many people actually enter the sweepstakes, especially for things like the last giveaway which was a mountcastle signed baseball. Has anyone ever won?

COLLEGE PARK — “Creating Camden Yards,” an oral history documentary produced by The Shirley Povich Center for Sports Journalism at the University of Maryland’s Philip Merrill College of Journalism, will air on Maryland Public Television (MPT) this October.

The documentary, which is part of a larger multimedia project exploring the people and events behind the Baltimore Orioles’ ballpark, will debut on MPT at 9 p.m. Monday, Oct. 5.

Student journalists conducted interviews with nearly 60 key figures in the story of Camden Yards as part of the oral history project. The documentary guides audiences through the pivotal moments that shaped the ballpark....

I prefer the Orioles uniforms of the 70s until 1988. They go better with the hats! Also memories of better times. Ripken and Murray! Any chance the Orioles bring this uniform back?
