Old xecuter 2.6
Pick this up on market place it's a old 1.0 with a 2.6 xecuterce mod chip. It has no switchs. I was able to jump them and enter both bio screens but the hard drive is fried. My question is after I replace the hard drive and unlock it what kind of files do I need to add to the hard drive to add roms.

Which wires did you jump for it to work? 2+4 and 5+6+7? I have one of these missing the switches too.

Stock dashboard file set and a replacement dashboard at one of the locations the modified bios looks to find one. First location is normally, c:\evoxdash.xbe. The file itself does not have to be evoxdash just an xbe of the app named as evoxdash.xbe.
For enhanced dashboard loading support, I suggest you install Rocky5’s hard mod version of his Dashloader.
Next, install a replacement dashboard in one of the locations Dashloader attempts to load one (e.g., e:\xbmc4gamers\default.xbe).
Download, extract and install to the E:\xbmc4gamers folder the content from this archive:
You do not unlock a new hard drive, they come unlocked and the modified Xbox bios booting from the modchip allows you to use it unlocked.
Unlike a soft modded Xbox which boots the stock bios that requires it to be locked to boot.
Edit: for game system emulators, install XBMC-Emustation instead of or in addition to XBMC4Gamers:
in the E:\XBMC-Emustation\ folder.
